Rafik Khachatryan
Rafik Khachatryan ( hy, Ռաֆիկ Գարեգինի Խաչատրյան; October 7, 1937 – January 16, 1993) was an Armenian sculptor. He was the father of Garegin Khachatryan (1975–1995). Biography Khachatryan was a direct descendant of the house of Daniel-Bek of Sassun (province Sassun or Sason of Western Armenia) (second half of the 18th century) and Khachatur-Bek of Mush (town Mush of Western Armenia) (first half of the 19th century), and the father of Garegin Khachatryan - one of the young heroes of the National Liberation war. He graduated from the Phanos Therlemzyan Art college (Yerevan) in 1966 and the Yerevan Art-Theatrical Institute (University) in 1971. Activities Khachatryan was a participant and an ideologist of the Armenian national liberation movement of the 20th century. Ara Khachatryan ( hy, Արա Խաչատրյան, born September 13, 1982) is an Armenian weightlifter. Biography Ara Khachatryan was born on September 13, 1982, in Leninakan, Armenian SSR (now Gyumri, Armenia), a city well known for its weightlifters. Under personal trainer Alexan Karapetyan and coach Boghos Poghosyan, Ara began weight training from an early age. Ara joined the Armenian national weightlifting team originally competing at a weight of 77 kg. At the 2006 World Weightlifting Championships in Santo Domingo, Khachatryan scored a total of 357 kg and won a bronze medal. Khachatryan won a silver medal at the 2007 European Weightlifting Championships in Strasbourg with a total of 361 kg, coming only behind compatriot Gevorg Davtyan. He repeated the silver medal the next year at the 2008 European Weightlifting Championships in Italy, scoring just 1 kg behind the gold medalist. Tiran Vazgeni Khachatryan (; born 1977) is an Armenian lieutenant general who formerly served as the First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia. During the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, Khachatryan was conferred with the title of National Hero of Armenia. Surik Sergeyi Khachatryan ( hy, Սուրիկ Սերգեյի Խաչատրյան; born August 1, 1956), known as Liska, is an Armenian politician who formerly served as the governor of the Syunik Province of Armenia, a position from which he resigned in 2013, presumably because of a shooting incident near his mansion in Goris. Prior to that, from 1996 to 1999, he was the mayor of Goris. A member of Armenia's Republican Party, Khachatryan was also a deputy to the Armenian National Assembly from 1999 to 2004. He was formerly a member of the Armenia national football team, Armenia national team. Club career Romik Khachatryan began to get involved in football at age 7. Khachatryan began his youth career in SKA-Arai Echmiadzin. The then 16-year-old player played for the club for 11 games and was able to score 2 goals in the 1994 season. Gagik Gurgeni Khachatryan (; born November 26, 1955) is an Armenian politician who held various positions in Armenia's state bureaucracy, notably serving as chairman of the State Revenue Committee from 2008 to 2014 and minister of finance from 2014 to 2016. Biography Garegin Khachatryan was born in Yerevan, 17 September 1975.
