Kevin The Teenager
Kevin Quentin Julius Patterson is a character created and played by the British comedian Harry Enfield. In a 2001 Channel 4 poll, Kevin was ranked 15th on their list of the 100 Greatest (TV series), ''100 Greatest TV characters''. Evolution Kevin originated in 1990 in the "Little Brother" sketches of ''Harry Enfield's Television Programme'' as an annoyingly energetic young boy who constantly vexed his older brother with his irritating catchphrases and habit of bursting into his room when he was with a girl, to bother their activities . In the first episode of ''Harry Enfield and Chums'' (the follow-up series, in November 1994), Kevin is excited at being nearly thirteen. ''Harry Enfield & Chums'' (originally titled ''Harry Enfield's Television Programme'') is a British sketch show starring Harry Enfield, Paul Whitehouse and Kathy Burke. It first broadcast on BBC2 in 1990 in the 9 pm slot on Thursday nights which became the traditional time for alternative comedy on television. Enfield was already an established name due to his 'Loadsamoney' character (which featured in a few entertainment programmes in the late 1980s), but the series gave greater presence to his frequent collaborators Whitehouse and Burke – so much so that, in 1994, the show was retitled ''Harry Enfield & Chums''. Louisa MacGregor Rix (born 2 February 1955) is a former actress and interior designer. She is the daughter of actors Brian Rix and Elspet Gray. She studied drama at LAMDA and acted for many years on TV and in the theatre.
