Kentucky Wildcats Men's Soccer
The Kentucky Wildcats men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of the University of Kentucky (UK). Since the Southeastern Conference (SEC) does not sponsor men's soccer (minimum four schools needed to sponsor a sport, only two offer it), the team has been associate members of other conferences. From 1995 to 2004, it was a member of the Mid-American Conference. In 2005, UK moved men's soccer to Conference USA, creating a rivalry with fellow new member South Carolina, which had rejoined the reunified conference that season. Both UK and South Carolina remained in C-USA men's soccer through the 2021 season, after which both programs left for the newly reinstated men's soccer league of the Sun Belt Conference. In 2018, Kentucky went 17–1–1 with wins against #6 Louisville and #2 Indiana, both by a score of 3–0 at home. Mitch Barnhart
Mitch Barnhart (born August 27, 1959) is the athletics director for the Kentucky Wildcats athletics program at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. Barnhart was hired by the university in 2002 succeeding Larry Ivy. Barnhart served in the same capacity at Oregon State University from 1998 to 2002. He is the university's tenth athletics director. In March 2016 Barnhart signed an extension on his contract which will keep him at Kentucky until 2022. Education Barnhart received his Bachelor of Arts from Ottawa University and a Master of Science in sports administration from Ohio University. Tenure at Kentucky Barnhart is currently the longest serving AD in the SEC. The Tulsa Golden Hurricane men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of the University of Tulsa. The team is a member of the American Athletic Conference (The American) in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. In the last two decades, Tulsa has been regularly ranked in the Top 25 NSCAA Collegiate men's soccer poll. History The Tulsa men's soccer team started as a varsity sport in 1980. That year, they finished the season with seven wins, six losses and one tie. The first win came against John Brown University. Tulsa's third head coach, Randy Waldrum, led the school to their first NCAA tournament in 1991, and was the coach during Tulsa's record setting consecutive home wins and consecutive home games without a loss streaks, the longest in NCAA history, set during the same stretch of 39 games from 1988 to 1992. Brett Smith
Brett Smith (born June 8, 1992) is a former American football quarterback. He played college football at Wyoming. He attended Leslie Middle School in Salem, Oregon from 2004 to 07 and later graduated from West Salem High School in 2011. High school career During his senior year, Smith completed 65.7% of his passes for 2,146 yards and 27 touchdowns with five interceptions. Aimé Mabika
Aimé Mabika (born 16 August 1998) is a Zambian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Major League Soccer club Inter Miami and the Zambia national team. Career College and amateur Mabika attended the University of Kentucky in 2016 to play college soccer. Jerome Williams Jr. (born January 4, 1998) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for USL Championship club Tampa Bay Rowdies. Callum Ernest John Irving (born March 16, 1993) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Canadian Premier League club Vancouver FC. Riley O'Neill (born September 9, 1985) is a Canadian soccer coach and former player who serves as an assistant coach for Pacific FC. Andy Gruenebaum (; born December 30, 1982) is a retired American professional soccer goalkeeper. He was selected by the Columbus Crew with the third overall pick in the 2006 MLS Supplemental Draft. He made his MLS debut in 2006. Career Amateur Gruenebaum, who is Jewish, is an Overland Park, Kansas, native. He was an All-American at Blue Valley North High School.
