The SDAX (German abbreviation for ''Small-Cap-deutsche Aktienindex'') is a stock market index composed of 70 small and medium-sized companies in Germany. These so-called 'Small cap company, small caps' rank directly below the MDAX (mid-cap) shares in terms of order book volume and market capitalization. They are thus the 91st–160th largest publicly traded companies in Germany. The index is based on prices generated in the electronic trading system Xetra (trading system), Xetra. Branco Weiss
Branco Weiss (23 April 1929 in Zagreb, Yugoslavia – 31 October 2010 in Zurich, Switzerland) was a Swiss entrepreneur and patron. Life Weiss was born into a Jewish family from the Austrian province Burgenland which had settled in Croatia. After his father's death at the hand of the fascists in 1943, Weiss fled with his mother to Italy and later to Switzerland. While growing up in a town on the shore of Lake Constance, he studied literature, art and history and developed an interest in natural sciences. He obtained his high-school diploma in Glarisegg in 1947. Subsequently, he enrolled at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and graduated there with a degree in chemical engineering in 1951. During his studies he worked part-time as a lab technician. Weiss wrote a thesis on cost-benefit analysis in the field of filtration. Computer-on-module
A computer-on-module (COM) is a type of single-board computer (SBC), a subtype of an embedded computer system. An extension of the concept of System on a chip, system on chip (SoC) and system in package (SiP), COM lies between a full-up computer and a microcontroller in nature. It is very similar to a system on module (SOM). Design COMs are complete embedded computers built on a single circuit board. The design is centered on a microprocessor with random-access memory, RAM, input/output controllers and all other features needed to be a functional computer on the one board. However, unlike a single-board computer, the COM usually lacks the standard connectors for any input/output peripherals to be attached directly to the board. Ismaning
Ismaning () is a municipality in Bavaria, Germany, located near Munich. Geography In 2016 it had 16,770 inhabitants. The town is located about seven kilometers northeast of Munich on the right high bank of the Isar River that flows into the Danube. Near Ismaning there is a large broadcasting facility called Transmitter Ismaning. The river Seebach running through the centre of the town features many different types of freshwater fish.
