Juan Díaz Sánchez (6 October 1948 – 3 April 2013), commonly known as Juanito, was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward. Career Born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, Juanito started and finished his 11-year professional career with hometown's CD Tenerife. He played one season in Segunda División with the club, then signed with FC Barcelona in late February 1972. He made his La Liga debut on 19 March, starting in a 1–0 away win against Athletic Bilbao. Juanito contributed with 17 games in the 1973–74 campaign as the Catalans won the national championship, scoring in a 3–0 home victory over UD Las Palmas on 6 January 1974. Juan Arias Díaz, also known as Juan Arias Diaz Topete, was a Spanish explorer and mineral prospector. He is credited with being the first European to visit the Incan city of Choquequirao, which he visited in 1710. However, it has been proposed that Spanish conquistadors arrived first during their war against Manco Inca. He allegedly found the city when he was resting his mules after a prospecting trek. He described it as "an ancient town of heathen times" known to the natives as "The Cradle of Gold". He led three expeditions to the town, finding at total of four sites, the three others of which have not been identified. Juan Manuel Díaz Martínez (born 28 October 1987) is a former Uruguayan footballer. Career Díaz was signed by Estudiantes de La Plata in January 2008. He made his debut 2–1 win over against Banfield on February 8, 2008. He scored his first Estudiantes goal against Rosario Central on April 25, 2008. He was sent off against LDU Quito on April 29, 2008. During the 2008–09 season, Díaz was part of the Estudiantes squad that experienced finishing as runners up in Copa Sudamericana 2008 and then went on to win Copa Libertadores 2009.
