English-language Journals
English is a West Germanic language that developed in early medieval England and has since become a English as a lingua franca, global lingua franca. The namesake of the language is the Angles (tribe), Angles, one of the Germanic peoples that Anglo-Saxon settlement of Britain, migrated to Britain after its End of Roman rule in Britain, Roman occupiers left. English is the list of languages by total number of speakers, most spoken language in the world, primarily due to the global influences of the former British Empire (succeeded by the Commonwealth of Nations) and the United States. English is the list of languages by number of native speakers, third-most spoken native language, after Mandarin Chinese and Spanish language, Spanish; it is also the most widely learned second language in the world, with more second-language speakers than native speakers. English is either the official language or one of the official languages in list of countries and territories where English ...

Mathematics Journals
Mathematics is a field of study that discovers and organizes methods, theories and theorems that are developed and proved for the needs of empirical sciences and mathematics itself. There are many areas of mathematics, which include number theory (the study of numbers), algebra (the study of formulas and related structures), geometry (the study of shapes and spaces that contain them), analysis (the study of continuous changes), and set theory (presently used as a foundation for all mathematics). Mathematics involves the description and manipulation of abstract objects that consist of either abstractions from nature orin modern mathematicspurely abstract entities that are stipulated to have certain properties, called axioms. Mathematics uses pure reason to prove properties of objects, a ''proof'' consisting of a succession of applications of deductive rules to already established results. These results include previously proved theorems, axioms, andin case of abstractio ...

Notices Of The American Mathematical Society
''Notices of the American Mathematical Society'' is the membership journal of the American Mathematical Society (AMS), published monthly except for the combined June/July issue. The first volume was published in 1953. Each issue of the magazine since January 1995 is available in its entirety on the journal web site. Articles are peer-reviewed by an editorial board of mathematical experts. Beginning with the January 2025 issue, the editor-in-chief is Mark C. Wilson, succeeding past editor Erica Flapan. The cover regularly features mathematical visualizations. The ''Notices'' is self-described to be the world's most widely read mathematical journal. As the membership journal of the American Mathematical Society, the ''Notices'' is sent to the approximately 30,000 AMS members worldwide, one-third of whom reside outside the United States. By publishing high-level exposition, the ''Notices'' provides opportunities for mathematicians to find out what is going on in the field. Each is ...

Memoirs Of The American Mathematical Society
''Memoirs of the American Mathematical Society'' is a mathematical journal published by the American Mathematical Society and intended to carry peer-reviewed book-length research publications (monographs). As such, it has been described as having the characteristics both of a journal and of a book series. As with other journals, its publications are collected into volumes, numbering six per year until 2024 and twelve per year from 2025 on. The start of the journal was announced in 1949, and it began publication in 1950. The journal is indexed by Mathematical Reviews, Zentralblatt MATH, Science Citation Index, Research Alert, CompuMath Citation Index, and Current Contents. Its dual nature as a journal and a book series has sometimes caused inconsistencies in its indexing. Web Of Science
The Web of Science (WoS; previously known as Web of Knowledge) is a paid-access platform that provides (typically via the internet) access to multiple databases that provide reference and citation data from academic journals, conference proceedings, and other documents in various academic disciplines. Until 1997, it was originally produced by the Institute for Scientific Information. It is currently owned by Clarivate. Web of Science currently contains 79 million records in the core collection and 171 million records on the platform. History A citation index is built on the fact that citations in science serve as linkages between similar research items, and lead to matching or related scientific literature, such as academic journal, journal articles, conference proceedings, abstracts, etc. In addition, literature that shows the greatest impact in a particular field, or more than one discipline, can be located through a citation index. For example, a paper's influence can be d ...
