Joseph W. Dauben
Joseph Warren Dauben (born December 29, 1944, Santa Monica, California, Santa Monica) is a Herbert H. Lehman Distinguished Professor of History at the CUNY Graduate Center, Graduate Center of the City University of New York. He obtained his PhD from Harvard University in 1972. His PhD thesis ''The early development of Cantorian Set Theory'' was supervised by Dirk Struik. Dauben's fields of expertise are the history of science, the history of mathematics, the Scientific Revolution, the Sociology of the history of science, sociology of science, intellectual history, the 17th and 18th centuries, the History of science and technology in China, history of Chinese science, and the history of botany. Positions Dauben is a 1980 Guggenheim fellow. He is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and a fellow of the New York Academy of Sciences (since 1982).

Albert Leon Whiteman Memorial Prize
__NOTOC__ The Albert Leon Whiteman Memorial Prize is awarded by the American Mathematical Society for notable exposition and exceptional scholarship in the history of mathematics. The prize was endowed in 1998 with funds provided by Sally Whiteman in memory of her late husband Albert Leon Whiteman. Moshé Machover
Moshé Machover (; born 1936) is a mathematician, philosopher, and socialist activist, noted for his writings against Zionism. Born to a Jewish family in Tel Aviv, then part of the Mandatory Palestine, British Mandate of Palestine, Machover moved to Britain in 1968 where he became a naturalised citizen. He was a founder of Matzpen, the Israeli Socialist Organisation, in 1962. Career Machover has written extensively on the conflict in the Middle East. In 1961, while still members of the Maki (historical political party), Israeli Communist Party, Machover and Akiva Orr, under the pseudonym 'A Israeli', wrote the anti-Zionist analysis of the Arab-Israeli conflict ''Shalom, Shalom ve'ein Shalom'' (; "Peace, Peace, and there is no Peace"). Abraham Robinson
Abraham Robinson (born Robinsohn; October 6, 1918 – April 11, 1974) was a mathematician who is most widely known for development of nonstandard analysis, a mathematically rigorous system whereby infinitesimal and infinite numbers were reincorporated into modern mathematics. Nearly half of Robinson's papers were in applied mathematics rather than in pure mathematics. Biography He was born to a Jewish family with strong Zionist beliefs, in Waldenburg, Germany, which is now Wałbrzych, in Poland. In 1933, he immigrated to British Mandate of Palestine, where he earned a first degree from the Hebrew University. Non-standard Analysis
The history of calculus is fraught with philosophical debates about the meaning and logical validity of fluxions or infinitesimal numbers. The standard way to resolve these debates is to define the operations of calculus using (ε, δ)-definition of limit, limits rather than infinitesimals. Nonstandard analysis instead reformulates the calculus using a logically rigorous notion of infinitesimal numbers. The mathematical manuscripts of Karl Marx are a manuscript collection of Karl Marx's mathematical notes where he attempted to derive the foundations of infinitesimal calculus from first principles.
