James Joseph Norton is an American comedian, radio personality, actor, author, and television and podcast host. Norton has been the co-host of the podcast ''UFC Unfiltered'' with Matt Serra and the morning radio show ''Jim Norton & Sam Roberts'' on SiriusXM Radio since 2016, and ''The Chip Chipperson Podacast'' since 2017. He gained initial prominence as third mic on the radio show ''Opie and Anthony'', with Gregg "Opie" Hughes and Anthony Cumia, from 2001 to 2014. After becoming a stand-up comedian in 1990, Norton spent his early years developing his act. His appearances on '' The Louie Show'' caught the attention of comedian Andrew Dice Clay in 1997, who chose Norton to open for him for his shows. James Norton (South Carolina Politician)
James Norton (October 8, 1843 – October 14, 1920) was a U.S. Representative from South Carolina. Born near Mullins, South Carolina, Norton pursued an academic course, then he left school in 1861 to enter the Confederate States Army. He served throughout the Civil War in the Army of Northern Virginia. After the war, Norton reentered school but did not finish the regular course. He was a teacher in the public schools 1866-1870, and engaged in agricultural pursuits and merchandising. Norton was elected county school commissioner in 1870 and reelected in 1872. He served as a member of the Statehouse of representatives in 1886, 1887, 1890, and 1891. He served as assistant comptroller general of South Carolina 1890-1894, then the actual comptroller general of the State from 1894 until 1897, when he resigned. James Charles Norton (October 20, 1938 – June 12, 2007) was an American professional football safety and punter who played for the Houston Oilers of the American Football League (AFL). An original member of the Oilers franchise, he played in their first nine seasons from 1960 to 1968. Jim Norton was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1930s. He played for Eastern Suburbs in the NSWRL competition. Background Norton played Group 9 country rugby league for Queanbeyan and Southern Districts before signing with defending premiers Eastern Suburbs in 1938. Playing career Norton made his first grade debut for Easts against Newtown at the Sydney Sports Ground in Round 10 1938 with the match finishing in a 17–17 draw. James Norton (Newark-on-Trent, 9 June 1789 – 29 August 1835) was a British navy officer who participated as a combatant and commander of the Imperial Brazilian Navy during the Cisplatine War. He joined the Royal Navy in 1802, taking part in the Napoleonic Wars under the command of Admiral Edward Pellew, 1st Viscount Exmouth, Edward Pellew. James Norton (27 July 179531 August 1862) was a solicitor and public figure in early colonial New South Wales. Admitted to practise in England, he arrived in Sydney in September 1818 where only four other attorneys were then practising. He was the founder of the first law firm in Sydney. He was a member of the first Legislative Council under responsible government in New South Wales in 1856, and drafted numerous laws. He held land at Mulgoa which was farmed and owned ''Elswick'', a 30 ha estate in what is now Leichhardt where he grew prize flowers and plants.
