James Deane (drift Driver)
James Deane (born 14 October 1991) is an Irish professional drift driver. He is a former 3 time Formula D champion, having won the series in 2017, 2018 and 2019 and has won multiple National and European titles. Career Deane began his career in competition drifting in 2006, driving a Ford Sierra in the Prodrift Junior Championship, finishing third in the series. In 2007, Deane won his first ever professional event in the main Prodrift series at Rosegreen at the age of fifteen, which is believed to have made him the youngest professional drift event winner in the world at the time. The following season, he won both the Irish series and the Prodrift European series, qualifying him to compete in the Red Bull Drifting World Championship in Long Beach, California. Deane won the 2010 Prodrift series whilst also competing in some Formula D events. Jim Deane
Jim Deane (2 January 1928 – 13 November 2010) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Richmond in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and South Adelaide in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). A half forward flanker, Deane is one of only two South Adelaide players to have won dual Magarey Medals. He won the first in 1953 and the second in 1957, although the latter was not awarded until 1998 when the league decided to give players who lost on a countback over the years their Medal retrospectively. Deane also won six best and fairest awards for South Adelaide and represented South Australia at interstate football on 15 occasions. Jimmy Deane
Jimmy Deane (31 January 1921 – 21 August 2002) was a British Trotskyist who played a significant role in building the Revolutionary Socialist League. Along with Jock Haston and Ted Grant, he played a role during the Second World War in the Revolutionary Communist Party, the British section of the Fourth International. Life Born at Hurst Grove, Berkshire, on 25 June 1812, he was second son of Henry Boyle Deane by his wife Elizabeth, daughter of James Wyborn of Hull House, Shelden, Kent. He went to Winchester School as a colleger in 1824, and matriculated at St John's College, Oxford, on 29 June 1829. In 1833 he obtained a second class in the final classical school and a third in the final mathematical school. Deane graduated BCL on 28 May 1834, and proceeded DCL on 10 April 1839; he admitted on 2 November that year as a member of the College of Advocates. He had previously, on 8 November 1837, entered as a student the Inner Temple, and on 29 January 1841 he was called to the bar there.
