Jake O'Brien (basketball)
Jake O'Brien (born June 3, 1989) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Spójnia Stargard of the Polish Basketball League (PLK). Standing at 2.06 m (6'9"), he plays the power forward and the center positions. O'Brien played college basketball at Boston University and at Temple. High school career O'Brien played high school basketball at Boston College High School, at Boston, Massachusetts. As a junior, O'Brien lead B.C. High to a perfect 25-0 record including the schools first MIAA Division 1 State Championship. The Cypriot Basketball Super Cup is a men's professional basketball competition in Cyprus, organized by the Cyprus Basketball Federation. It is contested by the champion of the Cypriot First Division and the winner of the Cypriot Cup. History The first Cypriot Super Cup match was played in 1985, with AEL winning the trophy, after beating ENAD 78–75. From 195 until 1994, the competition was held under the name "Independence Shield", but in the following years it was called, the "Federation Cup". Greek Basket League
The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece. It is run by HEBA ( el, ΕΣΑΚΕ, link=no), under the legal authority of the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). It is the highest-tier level of the Greek league system. The GBL plays under FIBA rules and currently consists of 13 teams, with the lowest-placed team relegated to the A2 Basket League and replaced by the winner of the play-offs of that tier. NBA G League
The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. The league started with eight teams until NBA commissioner David Stern announced a plan to expand the NBA D-League to 15 teams and develop it into a true minor league farm system, with each NBA D-League team affiliated with one or more NBA teams in March 2005. The Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague (USL) ( uk, Українська баскетбольна суперліга) is the first-tier level of professional basketball league in Ukraine. Established in 1992, the league is currently contested by 10 clubs. It is a tier above the Ukrainian Higher League and allows for one season from the Higher League each season to be promoted. The Boston University Terriers are the ten men's and fourteen women's varsity athletic teams representing Boston University in NCAA Division I competition. Boston University's team nickname is the Terriers, and the official mascot is Rhett the Boston Terrier. The school colors are Scarlet and White.
