Jake Hoot
Jake Hoot (born July 7, 1988) is an American country singer. He was the winner of season 17 of the American talent competition ''The Voice'' at the age of 31. Early life Jake Hoot was born in Texas on July 7, 1988. Jake is the second oldest of nine siblings in his family. Their parents are Aaron and Stacey Hoot who are Christian missionaries. At the age of nine, he and his family relocated to the Dominican Republic where his parents lived and worked as missionaries from 1998 to 2008. He learned the guitar and began singing while in the country, developed a fluency in Spanish, and played in the Dominican baseball league for a year. He is known for his solo career, his work with the band The 400 Unit, and as a member of Drive-By Truckers for six years, from 2001 to 2007. Isbell has won four Grammy Awards. The Eagles are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1971. "Desperado" is a power ballad by the American rock band the Eagles. The track was written by Glenn Frey and Don Henley and appeared on the 1973 album ''Desperado'' as well as numerous compilation albums. Jennifer Jean Warnes (born March 3, 1947) is an American singer and songwriter. She has performed as a vocalist on a number of film soundtracks. She has won two Grammy Awards, in 1983 for the Joe Cocker duet "Up Where We Belong" and in 1987 for the Bill Medley duet "(I've Had) The Time of My Life". Warnes also collaborated closely with Leonard Cohen. Early life Warnes was born on March 3, 1947, in Seattle, Washington but raised in Anaheim, California. Her desire and ability to sing came early; at age seven she was offered her first recording contract, which her father declined. "Up Where We Belong" is a song written by Jack Nitzsche, Buffy Sainte-Marie and Will Jennings that was recorded by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes for the 1982 film '' An Officer and a Gentleman''.
