Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit
The Jakarta International e-Prix Circuit is a racing circuit in the Ancol, Jakarta. It was built for the Jakarta ePrix of the open-wheel car, single-seater, Electric car, electrically powered Formula E championship. The first edition of Jakarta ePrix was held here in 2021–22 Formula E World Championship, 2022. Background The proposal of the Jakarta ePrix was first announced in July 2019, with mid-2020 announced as the target date for an inaugural race. The originally intended location, the National Monument (Indonesia), National Monument and the Merdeka Square was rejected along with a proposal for the use of the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium. Originally, there were 5 options being proposed: Jenderal Sudirman Street, Indah Kapuk Beach, Jakarta International Expo, Jakarta International Stadium, and the Ancol region. Ancol
Ancol ( nl, Antjol, zh, 安恤) is a coastal lowland area located to the east of Kota Tua Jakarta in northern Jakarta, in Indonesia. The coastal lowland stretched from Kota Tua Jakarta to the west and Tanjung Priok to the east. Today, Ancol contains the main beach resort of Jakarta. Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, the largest integrated tourism area in South East Asia, is located in Ancol. Jaya Ancol Circuit is the first automotive circuit in Indonesia & was built around 1970. This was the only circuit at that time and was the pride of the Indonesian people at that time. Lucas Di Grassi
Lucas Tucci di Grassi (born 11 August 1984) is a Brazilian professional racing driver who competes in the FIA Formula E World Championship for Mahindra Racing. He became the FIA Formula E Champion in 2016–2017, achieved three overall podiums at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and won the Macau Grand Prix in 2005. Jakarta International Stadium () is a retractable roof football stadium in Tanjung Priok, Jakarta, Indonesia. It is the home ground of Persija Jakarta after moving from their current stadium, Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, and the occasional home of the Indonesia national football team, after an agreement between PSSI and PT JAKPRO to use the facility. The stadium has a seating capacity of 82,000 spectators, making it the largest stadium in Indonesia and largest football-specific stadium in Asia. Jakarta International Expo, or JIExpo, is a convention, exhibition and entertainment complex located at Pademangan in north Jakarta, Indonesia. Opened in 2010, it was developed by the Central Cipta Murdaya group. Built in the area of the former Kemayoran Airport. JIExpo recently underwent an expansion from 2016 to 2019, adding an international theatre and convention center. JIExpo covers approximately 44 hectares, with a 2,500-seat theatre and concert hall, 100,000 square meters of exhibition and convention space, and supporting operations. Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium ( id, Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno; literally "Bung Karno Sports Arena Main Stadium"), formerly Senayan Main Stadium and Gelora Senayan Main Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium located at the center of the Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex in Central Jakarta, Indonesia. National Monument (Indonesia)
The National Monument ( id, Monumen Nasional, abbreviated Monas) is a 132 m (433 ft) obelisk in the centre of Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for Indonesia. It is the national monument of the Republic of Indonesia, built to commemorate the struggle for Indonesian independence. Construction began in 1961 under the direction of President Sukarno. Monas was opened to the public in 1975. It is topped by a flame covered with gold foil.
