Jack Hawkins (actor, Born 1985)
Jack Hawkins (born 6 October 1985) is an English actor, known for his work on the BBC One series ''Call the Midwife'' and the HBO Max series '' Raised by Wolves''. Early life He was born in Ipswich and was educated at the Ipswich School between 1996 and 2004, where he was Head Boy. He read Jurisprudence at Balliol College, Oxford and trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art from 2007 to 2009. Career Hawkins has performed acting roles in film, on television and on the stage. In 2017 he joined the cast of the BBC television show ''Call the Midwife'' as Christopher Dockerill. He plays the recurring character Alex Lambert in the BBC medical drama '' Holby City'', and appeared as Mickey Aluffi in the 2016 film ''The Head Hunter'', and Phil in ''Writers Retreat''. In 2014 Hawkins played the part of William in the film ''The Cross'', which was filmed in various locations in northern England. Ipswich
Ipswich () is a port town and borough in Suffolk, England, of which it is the county town. The town is located in East Anglia about away from the mouth of the River Orwell and the North Sea. Ipswich is both on the Great Eastern Main Line railway and the A12 road; it is north-east of London, east-southeast of Cambridge and south of Norwich. ''Tis Pity She's a Whore'' (original spelling: ''Tis Pitty Shee's a Who'' 'o'''re'') is a tragedy written by John Ford. It was first performed or between 1629 and 1633, by Queen Henrietta's Men at the Cockpit Theatre. The play was first published in 1633, in a quarto printed by Nicholas Okes for the bookseller Richard Collins. Ford dedicated the play to John Mordaunt, 1st Earl of Peterborough and Baron of Turvey. The vanguard (sometimes abbreviated to van and also called the advance guard) is the leading part of an advancing military formation. It has a number of functions, including seeking out the enemy and securing ground in advance of the main force. In naval warfare the van is the advance ship, or fleet, that will make the initial engagement with an enemy fleet. Iago () is a fictional character in Shakespeare's ''Othello'' (c. 1601–1604). Iago is the play's main antagonist, and Othello's standard-bearer. He is the husband of Emilia, who is in turn the attendant of Othello's wife Desdemona. Iago hates Othello and devises a plan to destroy him by making him believe that Desdemona is having an affair with his lieutenant, Michael Cassio. The role is thought to have been first played by Robert Armin, who typically played intelligent clown roles like Touchstone in '' As You Like It'' and Feste in '' Twelfth Night''. ''Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead'' is an absurdist, existential tragicomedy by Tom Stoppard, first staged at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1966. The play expands upon the exploits of two minor characters from Shakespeare's ''Hamlet'', the courtiers Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, and the main setting is Denmark. Maureen Lipman
Dame Maureen Diane Lipman (born 10 May 1946) is an English actress, writer and comedian. She trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and her stage work has included appearances with the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company. She was made a dame in the 2020 Queen's Birthday Honours for services to charity, entertainment and the arts.
