The ''Journal of Economic Perspectives'' (''JEP'') is an economic journal published by the American Economic Association. The journal was established in 1987. The JEP was founded by Joseph Stiglitz, Carl Shapiro, and Timothy Taylor. It is oriented around the twin goals of "providing perspective on current economic research, and explaining how economics provides perspective on questions of general interest." Heidi Williams
Heidi Williams (born 1981) is a professor of economics at Dartmouth College and Director of Science Policy at the Institute for Progress. She is a graduate of Dartmouth College, and earned her MSc in development economics from Oxford University and her PhD in economics from Harvard University. Prior to Dartmouth, Williams was the Charles R. Schwab Professor of Economics at Stanford University and an associate professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is a member of the National Bureau of Economic Research. Williams is an applied micro-economist who works on the causes and consequences of technological change in health care markets. Jeffrey Richard Kling is the research director at the Congressional Budget Office, and was previously the associate director for economic analysis. Joseph Eugene Stiglitz (; born February 9, 1943) is an American New Keynesian economist, a public policy analyst, political activist, and a professor at Columbia University. Timothy Taylor (born 1960) is an American economist. He is managing editor of the ''Journal of Economic Perspectives'', a quarterly academic journal produced at Macalester College and published by the American Economic Association.
