Joshua Green Peak
Joshua Green Peak is a 7,135-foot (2,175 meter) mountain summit located at the western edge of the Saint Elias Mountains, in the U.S. state of Alaska. The peak is situated in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve at the head of Dan Creek, east-southeast of McCarthy, and east-northeast of Williams Peak. The peak is named after Joshua Green (1869-1975), a Seattle businessman who through his financial backing of mining ventures was instrumental in mineral development in the Dan Creek area. The peak's name was officially adopted in 1975 by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names. Precipitation runoff from the mountain drains into Dan Creek which is a tributary of the Nizina River, which in turn is part of the Copper River drainage basin. Joshua Taylor Green (born August 31, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Charros de Jalisco of the Mexican League. Amateur career Green attended Parkview Baptist High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 2013, his junior year, he helped lead them to a Class 3A State Championship. As a senior in 2014, Green was named second team All-District. Unselected in the 2014 Major League Baseball draft, he enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University where he played college baseball. Green pitched only one inning as a freshman at Southeastern Louisiana in 2015. As a sophomore, he appeared in 17 games, pitching to a 2.04 ERA with 29 strikeouts over innings. In 2017, he made 25 relief appearances, going 5–0 with a 4.14 ERA in 37 innings. Joshua Benjamin Green (born 16 November 2000) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats. Green was part of the Australian basketball team that won bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Joshua Green (born 24 August 1992) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Brisbane Lions and Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early career Born in Tasmania, Green developed his skills while playing under age football for Sorell. He would later join Clarence. He became a dual premiership player with the club, playing in the 2009 and 2010 premiership teams. Joshua Green (born November 16, 1977) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey center who played most notably in the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Green was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the second round as the 30th overall pick in 1996. Green was selected from the Western Hockey League, where he was a stand out for the Medicine Hat Tigers, Swift Current Broncos and the Portland Winter Hawks. Green left the WHL during the 1997–98 season, and made his professional debut with the Fredericton Canadiens of the American Hockey League.
