Joshua Smith (born December 5, 1985) is an American former professional basketball player who played 13 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Entering the NBA straight out of high school, Smith played nine seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, for the Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers between 2013 and 2016. His final stint in the NBA came in November 2017 with the New Orleans Pelicans. He is sometimes referred to by his nickname "J-Smoove". High school career Smith attended John McEachern High in Powder Springs, Georgia. During the summer before his senior year, he played alongside future NBA players Randolph Morris and Dwight Howard on the Atlanta Celtics AAU team. Joshua Smith (born 1976) is an American artist based in New York City. Biography Smith was born in Okinawa, Japan and raised in Tennessee. Trained as a printmaker, he initially began working with collages in the early 2000s. He combined photocopies, documents and drawing in layers to create abstract images reacting to surreal and expressionist ways of painting. He first became known in the early 2000s, however, for a body of work that consisted of paintings featuring letters from his own name: Smith used the letters as a base for building abstract imagery. In recent years, he has made numerous partly-figurative series, including series featuring palm trees, skeletons, fishes and devils, among other varied themes. Josh Smith (born 5 March 1986) is an Australian rules footballer who played for North Melbourne in the AFL between 2008 and 2010. Recruited from West Perth in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) with the 62nd selection in the 2007 AFL Draft, Smith made his AFL debut in Round 7 of the 2008 AFL season but only played one more AFL game for the year. He struggled to break into the North Melbourne side over the next two years, only playing five games in 2009 and four in 2010 before he was delisted at the end of the 2010 season. Biography As a member of the upper class, he attended University of Cambridge, with ambitions to move to Liverpool. He only spent one year in college before dropping out and residing right outside the city of Cambridge, where he became interested in running.
