Joseph Dickson
Joseph Dickson (April 1745April 14, 1825) was an American politician and soldier who represented North Carolina's 1st district in the United States House of Representatives from 1799 to 1801, and would later serve in the Tennessee House of Representatives. He was born in Chester County in the Province of Pennsylvania, though eventually moved with his parents to Rowan County in the Province of North Carolina. He was engaged in cotton and tobacco planting. Joe Dickson (1940-April 6, 2022) was a former politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 2007 to 2018 who represented the riding of Ajax—Pickering. Background Dickson was born and raised in Ajax, Ontario. He was the owner of a printing business, Dickson Printing Ltd. Dickson was a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. He supports 22 Ajax-Pickering area sports teams. He lived in Ajax with his wife Donna. They have two adult children and five grandchildren. He died April 7, 2022. Politics Dickson began his career and community involvement as a trustee of the local Catholic District School Board. ISSF Olympic Skeet
Olympic Skeet is a variant of skeet shooting, and the specific variant used in the Olympic Games. The discipline is sanctioned by the International Shooting Sport Federation. Two throwing machines at different heights launch a series of 25 targets in a specific order, some as singles and some as doubles, with the shooter having a fixed position between them. Both men's and women's competitions consist of five such series. The top six competitors shoot an additional series as a final round, on targets filled with special powder to show hits more clearly to the audience.
