Jon Allen (diplomat)
Jon Joseph Allen (born 10 December 1950) is a retired Canadian diplomat. He was Ambassador to Spain from 2012 to 2016 and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Israel from 2006 until 2010, when he was replaced by Paul Hunt. He was Canada's third Jewish ambassador to Israel (the other two were Norman Spector and David Berger). Jonathon Allen is an English singer-songwriter. His debut album '' Dead Man's Suit'' was released in 2009. Early life Jon Allen was born in 1977 in Winchester When he was 7 he moved with his family to South Devon. While he was attending secondary school he began playing the drums and guitar. When he was 15, he started recording songs on a cassette-based four-track machine. On leaving school Allen attended college completing a BTEC in performing arts. Whilst performing in various local bands he auditioned and was accepted at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA). This is where he met Paul McCartney, who encouraged him to continue as a songwriter. Sadus is an American thrash metal band from Antioch, California, active from 1985 to 2015, and reunited in 2017. Originally a quartet, the band's sound fuses thrash metal with death metal, featuring highly technical musicianship. They are known for the unique death growl of vocalist Darren Travis, and bassist Steve Di Giorgio. During their career, Sadus has released five studio albums, one compilation album and four demos, and had only one lineup change, when guitarist Rob Moore left the band in 1993; instead of replacing him, the band continued as a trio. Jonathan Allen (born January 16, 1995) is an American football defensive tackle for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Alabama, where he won several defensive player of the year awards during his 2016 season in addition to the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship. Allen was drafted by Washington in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Early years Allen was born in Anniston, Alabama, and lived in Seattle, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Maryland before settling down in Ashburn, Virginia, where he attended Stone Bridge High School. Jonathan Allen (born 1966) is a visual artist, writer, and magician based in London. His performance persona "Tommy Angel", is a fictitious evangelist and magician satirising the genre of Gospel Magic, who Allen portrays in a variety of media including performance, photography, video, and writing. Life and work Allen was born in 1966 in the United Kingdom. He received a Fine Art MA from Chelsea College of Art in 1989 and was a Henry Moore Fellow at Sheffield Hallam University from 1991 to 1993.
