John Erwin
John Lee Erwin (December 5, 1936 – December 20, 2024) was an American voice actor best known for voicing He-Man, Reggie Mantle, and Morris the Cat. Career Erwin was the voice of He-Man in the Filmation productions ''He-Man and the Masters of the Universe'' and '' She-Ra: Princess of Power'' that ran from 1983 to 1986. Due to the extreme cost-cutting by Filmation, the cast of voice actors was small, and producer Lou Scheimer actually performed the bulk of the character voices. Erwin was also the voice of the henchman character Beast Man, and would on occasion do the voices of other supporting characters, too, such as Webstor and Ram Man. Although generally recognized for his work on ''He-Man'', Erwin has many years of voice acting to his credit (including the voice of Reggie Mantle in Filmation's '' Archie'' cartoons), and has provided voices for many productions ranging from television advertisements to live-action movies since the 1960s. John Patton Erwin
John Patton Erwin (January 8, 1795 – August 27, 1857) was an American Whig politician. He served as the Mayor of Nashville, Tennessee from 1821 to 1822, and from 1834 to 1835. Early life John Patton Erwin was born on January 8, 1795, in Wilkes County, North Carolina. His father was Col. Andrew Erwin, a land speculator, and his mother, Jane Patton. He had nine siblings. His brothers-in-law included John Williams, U.S. Senator from Tennessee, Lewis Williams, a U.S. Representative from North Carolina, and Thomas Lanier Williams, Justice of the Tennessee Supreme Court. Career In 1817, he became an alderman in Nashville and in 1820 he was admitted to the bar. He served as Mayor of Nashville from 1821 to 1822. John Erwin (basketball)
John Watson Erwin (April 5, 1894–March 3, 1972) was an American college basketball coach. Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, in 1894, he attended Clemson College from 1911 to 1914, where he excelled in both tennis and basketball. Alongside his brother James, he won the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association doubles championship in 1913. Erwin played on Clemson's first basketball team in 1912 This year is notable for Sinking of the Titanic, the sinking of the ''Titanic'', which occurred on April 15.
