Jimmy Robertson (footballer Born 1955)
James Robertson (born 3 December 1955) is a Scottish footballer who played as a left winger from 1977 until 1993. Roberston played for Motherwell, Stranraer, Queen of the South, Morton and Clydebank. Career Robertson grew up in Glasgow and played amateur football with Newton Mearns Rovers and Muirend Amateurs before signing for junior outfit East Kilbride Thistle. Rangers manager Jock Wallace then signed Robertson at the start of the 1976–77 season. Robertson never made the first team at Ibrox and played reserve team football that season. At the start of season 1977–78, Motherwell manager Willie McLean signed Robertson. He went straight into the Motherwell first team in what was the third season of the Premier Division. Robertson played in five league matches for Motherwell without scoring any goals, before Willie McLean left the club and Roger Hynd was appointed manager in his place. Roger Hynd
John Roger Shankly Hynd (2 February 194218 February 2017) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as a centre half. He started his playing career at Rangers, for whom he played in the 1967 European Cup Winners' Cup Final, before moving to the English Football League. He played nearly 300 League matches for Crystal Palace, Birmingham Citywith whom he played more than 200 games and was named Player of the Year as they won promotion to the First Division in 1972Oxford United and Walsall. He had a brief spell as manager of Motherwell and a six-game spell as interim manager of St Johnstone before leaving professional football to work as a PE teacher. He was the nephew of Bill Shankly. In 2012, Hynd was one of seven former players elected to Birmingham City's Hall of Fame. He died in February 2017, aged 75. Dunfermline (; , ) is a city, parish, and former royal burgh in Fife, Scotland, from the northern shore of the Firth of Forth. Palmerston Park is a association football, football stadium on Terregles Street in Dumfries, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It is the home ground of Scottish League One club Queen of the South F.C., Queen of the South, who have played there since 1919. Dumfries
Dumfries ( ; ; from ) is a market town and former royal burgh in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, near the mouth of the River Nith on the Solway Firth, from the Anglo-Scottish border. Stair Park
Stair Park is a public park and football stadium in the town of Stranraer, Scotland and is the home of Stranraer F.C. It is owned by Dumfries and Galloway Council and is situated next to the London Road and the railway line in the town. The park features a bandstand, all weather tennis & netball courts, skatepark, football pitch and a football stadium. The park and stadium were named after the Earl of Stair, who bequeathed the land to the local authorities. A stand was first constructed for football in 1932. The record attendance of 6,000 was set by a Scottish Cup tie against Rangers in 1948. When Stranraer entered the Scottish Football League in 1955, a terrace cover was erected, called the Shed. There were no significant further changes until 1981, when Stair Park became the last ground in league football in either England or Scotland to install floodlights. Colin McAdam (28 August 1951 – 1 August 2013) was a Scottish professional football player, best known for his time with Rangers. He played as both a centre back and a striker during his career.
