Sarlat-la-Canéda
Sarlat-la-Canéda (; ), commonly known as Sarlat, is a commune in the southwestern French department of Dordogne, a part of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Sarlat and La Canéda were distinct towns until merged into one commune in March 1965. Geography The town of Sarlat is in a region known in France as Périgord Noir. ''Petitella bleheri'' is a species of characin found in Amazon Basin in Brazil and Peru. It is one of three species commonly referred to as the rummy-nose tetra, and is also known as the firehead tetra. Taxonomy and systematics The specific name, ''bleheri'', honors the species’ discoverer, Heiko Bleher. The mitochondrial genome of ''Petitella bleheri'' was fully sequenced in 2015 using standard polymerase chain reaction (PCR) techniques, and found to be 17,021 base pairs long. Distribution and habitat This species is found in the Rio Negro and Rio Meta basins. Diet Omnivorous and will accept just about anything offered. Species does have a small mouth so correspondingly sized foods are best. Feed a mixture of dried flakes and granules and small live and frozen foods. ''Megalamphodus sweglesi'' is a species of tetra that lives in the Orinoco River drainage basin in South America. Its common name is red phantom tetra. It grows up to . It was previously classified in the genus ''Hyphessobrycon'', as with other members of its genus.'''' Appearance The fish has a round black spot behind the gill-plate, a black band on the dorsal fin that is bordered above and below by creamy-white.
