John Anthony Bailey (June 4, 1947 – November 13, 1994), also known as Jack Baker, was an American actor. Life John Anthony Bailey was born on June 4, 1947 in Ohio, U.S. Bailey lived in San Francisco, California during the early 1970s where he attended Merritt College in Oakland and performed in numerous stage and film productions. His performances included Richard Wesley's ''The Black Terror'', for John Cochran's Black Repertory West, J. E. Franklin's ''Black Girl'' with Adilah Barnes, work with the improvisational theatre group, The Pitschel Players, and appearances with other San Francisco Bay Area theater companies. Bailey also appeared in the Sun Ra film '' Space Is the Place'' (made in 1972 and released in 1974). Career Bailey is best known for the role of C.C. McNamara on the Sid and Marty Krofft children's television program '' Wonderbug'' (1976). Jack Edward Baker (born May 4, 1950) is a former first baseman in Major League Baseball who played for the Boston Red Sox between and . Baker batted and threw right-handed. Listed at 6' 5", 225 lb., he was selected by Boston in the 1971 draft out of Auburn University. He played professional baseball from 1971 to 1978 and was a power hitter, hitting 144 home runs in the minor leagues including one season in which he hit 36 home runs for the Pawtucket Red Sox. His major league career was brief. In a 14-game career, Baker was a .115 hitter (3-for-26), including one home run, one run, and two RBI. His one home run was hit at Fenway Park in Boston when he was playing for the Boston Red Sox on September 23, 1976. Jack Baker (born John Kessler; 1913/1914 – October 5, 1980), also known by his stage name Dr. Silkini, was an American stage magician, film producer and distributor best known as the host (or "ghostmaster") of the traveling midnight ghost show, ''Dr. Silkini's Asylum of Horrors''. According to fellow ghostmaster and ghost show historian Jim Ridenour, Baker "worked the spookers for 42 years, ndmade millions of dollars." Early life Baker was born John Kessler, in Toledo, Ohio. He was later adopted, and after adoption, his name was changed to John Edwin Baker; his name was later changed again to Jack Baker. Jack Baker (1890 – 1947) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1910s and 1920s. He played in the NSWRFL premiership for the North Sydney and South Sydney clubs. His position was at second-row. Playing career Baker made his first grade debut for South Sydney against Annandale in Round 2 1919 which finished in an 8–8 draw at Wentworth Park. Baker spent two years at Souths before signing with North Sydney. Baker was a member of Norths only premiership victories in 1921 and 1922. James Edward Baker (5 May 1904 – 1979) was a Welsh footballer who played in the Football League as a wing half. He made appearances for league clubs Wolverhampton Wanderers, Coventry City and Bristol City, also playing for Lovell's Athletic and Colchester United. Career Born in Trethomas, Baker played for the works team for non-league Lovell's sweet manufacturers Lovell's Athletic, before signing for Second Division side Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1926, making his Football League debut on 30 April 1927 in a 2–1 win over Fulham. Baker remained at Molineux for three seasons but only managed 17 appearances in total during this period, 16 of which were in the league. He joined Coventry City in 1929, where he would go on to have two spells, interspersed by a return to Lovell's Athletic.
