J2 (roller Coaster)
Hell Cat is a wooden roller coaster designed and built by S&S Power located at Clementon Amusement Park. The coaster is 2,602 feet long and debuted late in the operating park season in 2004. Its first drop is 105 feet and can take its riders up to 56 MPH. The ride time is 1 minute and 30 seconds. Hell Cat was named Tsunami until 2005, when its name was changed to J2 due to the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami. The new name honored the 1919 Jack Rabbit coaster which was standing but not operating since 2002 and demolished at the end of 2007. During and after the 2005 season, parts of the track were replaced by Great Coasters International to provide a smoother ride. During the 2006 season the park only operated with one train. The other remained with Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters, Inc. for rehabilitation. During the 2006-2007 off-season, more track pieces were replaced. Out And Back Roller Coaster
Out and back refers to the layout of a roller coaster. An out and back coaster is one that climbs a lift hill soon after leaving the station, races out to the far end of the track after the initial drop, performs a 180 degree turn and then returns to the station. Some out and back coasters perform more complicated turns at the far end of the track. This particular design is very popular and is easy to design and construct. With an out and back design, the hills on the way "out" usually are quite large and gradually decrease in size. Twister Roller Coaster
A twister roller coaster is the generic name given to any roller coaster layout which tends to twist or interweave its track within itself several times. It is essentially the opposite of an out and back roller coaster, which is often a much simpler layout. Twister roller coasters often have the illusion of having small or tight clearances due to the track usually travelling through several support structures. This is known as a head chopper effect. Lift Hill
A lift hill, or chain hill, is an upward-sloping section of track on a roller coaster on which the roller coaster train is mechanically lifted to an elevated point or peak in the track. Upon reaching the peak, the train is then propelled from the peak by gravity and is usually allowed to coast throughout the rest of the roller coaster ride's circuit on its own momentum, including most or all of the remaining uphill sections. Clementon Park and Splash World is a mid-sized combination theme park and water park in Clementon, New Jersey, Clementon, Camden County, New Jersey, United States. Indiana Beach is an amusement park located on Lake Shafer in Monticello, Indiana. The resort was developed by the Spackman family, who owned it from 1926 to 2008. The park was then sold to Morgan RV LLC, Apex Parks Group, LLC, and now is owned and operated by IB Parks & Entertainment.
