International Deejay Gigolo Records
International DeeJay Gigolo Records is a German electronic music record label run by techno artist DJ Hell (real name Helmut Geier). The label was founded in Munich in 1996 by DJ Hell and DJ Upstart as an affiliate of label Disko B. It is Germany's most successful electronic music record label, specialising in electro, house and techno with 80's pop and disco influences. "Gigolo" has released records by Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills, DJ Hell, Miss Kittin, The Hacker, The Penelopes, The Advent, Dopplereffekt, Fischerspooner, Tiga, Princess Superstar and Vitalic. In particular, the label is widely credited as being the germ cell of the electroclash music genre in the late 1990s. Gigolo's most successful release came in 2001, with Vitalic's ''Poney EP'' (which included techno favourite "La Rock 01" on the B-side). This EP was remastered and re-issued in 2006. Tiga James Sontag (born 18 September 1974), known simply as Tiga (), is a Canadian musician, DJ, music programmer, and record producer. He has released three albums: ''Sexor'' (2006), ''Ciao! (Tiga album), Ciao!'' (2009), and ''No Fantasy Required'' (2016). The former won the Juno Awards of 2007, 2007 Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year. DMX Krew is the stage name of musician Edward Upton. Upton's other aliases include 101 Force, Asylum Seekers, Bass Potato, Chester Louis III, Computor Rockers, David Michael Cross, Ed DMX, EDMX, House of Brakes, Michael Knight, and Viet Cong. He has released six full albums on Aphex Twin's label Rephlex Records and numerous singles/EPs for both Rephlex and his own label Breakin'. Anthony "Shake" Shakir, who also uses the aliases Sequence 10 and Da Sampla, is an American techno producer, best known for his contributions to Detroit techno. DJ Acid Maria, born Angelika Lepper, is a German DJ and music producer of electronic music. Her musical style is between techno and Chicago house. She became famous as the house DJ of the Munich clubs Ultraschall and Harry Klein. Career Her career began on December 6, 1992, when she performed for twenty people for "Jockey Slut Night" at Club Alcatraz in Munich.
