Indiana's 2nd congressional district is an electoral district for the U.S. Congress in Northern Indiana. It includes South Bend and Elkhart. On November 8, 2022, Republican candidate Rudy Yakym won both the special election, to complete the rest of Walorski's term, who died in a car accident August 3, 2022. , and the regular election for the next two-year term. However, following the 2000 U.S. census redistricting, the district was moved to replace most of what had been the 3rd district. Rudy Yakym
Rudolph Chester Yakym III (born February 24, 1984) is an American politician and businessman who is the member of the U.S. House of Representatives representing Indiana's 2nd congressional district. He is a member of the Republican Party. Education Yakym earned an associate degree in business and a Bachelor of Science in finance and business administration from the Indiana University South Bend. In 2019, he earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. Career In 2010 and 2011, Yakym worked as a sales manager for Omnicity, a broadband company. In 2011 and 2012, he was the finance director for Jackie Walorski's congressional campaign. From 2013 to 2019, he was a vice president at the Bradley Company, a commercial real estate business. Miami County is a county located in the U.S. state of Indiana. As of 2010, the population was 36,903. The county seat is the City of Peru. Miami County is part of the Kokomo-Peru CSA. Marshall County is a county in the U.S. state of Indiana. Census 2020 recorded the population at 46,095. The county seat (and only city) is Plymouth. History The Indiana State Legislature passed an omnibus county bill on 7 February 1835 that authorized the creation of thirteen counties in northeast Indiana, including Marshall. It was named for U.S. Chief Justice John Marshall, who died in 1835. History The first non-Native Americans to ever set foot in what is now Fulton County, Indiana ,were French traders. Indiana's 3rd congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Indiana. Based in Fort Wayne, the district takes in the northeastern part of the state. In 2023, this district will include all of Adams, Allen, Blackford, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley counties, as well as northern Jay and northeast Kosciusko counties. Indiana's 6th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Indiana. The district takes in a portion of eastern and central Indiana as of the 2020 census, including Columbus and Richmond, as well as a few suburbs of both Cincinnati and Indianapolis. The district is currently represented by Republican Greg Pence. He is the brother of former U.S. Vice President, Mike Pence, who represented this district before serving as Governor of Indiana and Vice President of the United States.
