I Could Be the Only One is a split EP released as a digital single by Manchester Orchestra and Kevin Devine on January 26, 2010. The EP features the artists covering each other's songs, with Manchester Orchestra covering "I Could Be With Anyone" and Devine covering "The Only One". The songs featured on Spinner.com as the MP3 of the Day on January 25, 2010 along with an article explaining why these songs were chosen. Manchester Orchestra
Manchester Orchestra is an American indie rock band from Atlanta formed in 2004. The group is composed of rhythm guitarist-singer-songwriter Andy Hull, lead guitarist Robert McDowell, bassist Andy Prince and drummer Tim Very. Former drummer Jeremiah Edmond parted ways with the band in January 2010 to focus on his family and on running the band's record label, Favorite Gentlemen. The band's original bassist, Jonathan Corley, parted ways with the band in 2013. Keyboardist/percussionist Chris Freeman announced his departure from the band in September 2016. Kevin Devine
Kevin Devine (born December 19, 1979) is an American songwriter and musician from Staten Island, New York City, who is known for his introspective and political themes. He is a contemporary member of the underground indie rock and indie folk musical scenes, and his influences range from older indie artists such as Neutral Milk Hotel, Elliott Smith and Pavement to more mainstream and well known acts such as Nirvana and Bob Dylan. In 2013, Kevin Devine rejoined his previous band, Miracle of 86, for a series of reunion shows. Indie Rock
Indie rock is a subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or " guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's large student population. Mean Everything To Nothing
''Mean Everything to Nothing'' is the second studio album by the Atlanta-based indie rock band Manchester Orchestra. It was released on April 21, 2009 through independent record label Favorite Gentlemen Recordings and produced by Joe Chiccarelli and Dan Hannon. Prior to the album's release, AbsolutePunk premiered a video of "The Only One", while ''Spin'' premiered another one, for "Shake It Out", on March 24, 2009. A third video, for lead single "I've Got Friends", was released on April 7. Brother's Blood
''Brother's Blood'' is the fifth studio album by American indie rock musician Kevin Devine, his first album since 2006 and first release on the Favorite Gentlemen record label. Background Throughout the course of 2008, Devine premiered a number of demos via his MySpace page and began adding new songs to his live set. ''I Could Be With Anyone'' is an EP released by Kevin Devine in support of his fifth album, ''Brother's Blood'', and his winter 2008 tour with Manchester Orchestra. The title track is featured on ''Brother's Blood'', while the other 3 tracks are exclusive to the EP. Both "She Stayed As Steam" and "What's Keeping Us Young" were previously available to stream on Kevin's MySpace page, however, the EP features a new version of "What's Keeping Us Young". On June 5, 2009 the video for "I Could Be With Anyone" premiered on Spinner.com, featuring "''a series of couples both real and staged in various stages of their relationships.''"
