''Into the Half Moon'' (stylized as ''into the half moon.'') is the debut studio album by the American alternative metal band 10 Years, independently released on August 13, 2001. The album was highly promoted on the band's original website (www.10years1.com), with "What the Fuck" being available for download a few months before the official release. The song "When Will You Breathe?" debuted on a local radio station along with "Fallaway". Background This is the only 10 Years release to feature original vocalist Mike Underdown, who left the band in 2002. The album is not listed on the band's official website, with some considering this earlier incarnation of 10 Years to be a different band. 10 Years is an American alternative metal band formed in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1999. The band consists of lead vocalist Jesse Hasek, lead guitarist Brian Vodinh, rhythm guitarist Matt Wantland, bassist Chad Grennor, and drummer Luke Narey. The group has gone through multiple line-up changes since their inception, with Vodinh and Wantland being the only remaining founding members. To date, they have released ten studio albums, their most recent being ''Descontructed'' in 2022. ''Killing All That Holds You'' is the second studio album by American alternative metal band 10 Years, released in 2004 with new vocalist Jesse Hasek. Although it was not widely distributed, the band sold it at their live shows, and an autographed copy was available on their webstore. The album had been abbreviated as "K.A.T.H.Y". This, along with the band's first album '' Into the Half Moon'', has not been released on Spotify. However, both ''Killing All That Hold You'' and ''Into the Half Moon'' can be found on YouTube. According to vocalist Jesse Hasek, Universal Records originally thought the band would re-record ''Killing All That Holds You'' for its major-label debut. Screaming is an extended vocal technique that is popular in "aggressive" music genres such as heavy metal, punk rock, and noise music and others. It is common in the more extreme subgenres of heavy metal, such as death and black metal as well as many other subgenres. Deftones
Deftones is an American alternative metal band formed in Sacramento, California in 1988. They were formed by Chino Moreno (vocals, guitar), Stephen Carpenter (guitar), Abe Cunningham (drums), and Dominic Garcia (bass). During their first five years, the band's lineup changed several times, but stabilized in 1993 when Cunningham rejoined after his departure in 1990; by this time, Chi Cheng was bassist. The lineup remained stable for fifteen years, with the exception of keyboardist and turntablist Frank Delgado being added in 1999. The band’s experimental nature has led some critics to describe them as "the Radiohead of metal". Deftones have released nine albums since their inception.
