FIA Formula 2 Championship
The FIA Formula 2 Championship (F2) is a second-tier single-seater championship organized by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). Held on road racing, racing circuits, the championship was introduced in 2017, following the rebranding of the long-term Formula One feeder series GP2 Series, GP2. The series' original founders were Flavio Briatore and current managing director Bruno Michel. While it is not necessary to do so, most current F1 drivers have participated in Formula 2 or GP2 before graduating to Formula One. It is the last step on the FIA Global Pathway from Karting to Formula One. Formula 2 is designed to create an ideal training ground for life in Formula One and make racing relatively affordable for the teams. ART Grand Prix
ART Grand Prix is a French motor racing team that competes in formula single-seaters in Europe. In 2012, it competed in the GP2 Series and GP3 Series as Lotus GP to reflect sponsorship from British sports and racing car manufacturer Lotus. The team competed as Lotus ART in 2011. Corporate history ART Grand Prix was created in 2005 as a collaborative project between Frédéric Vasseur, the principal of ASM Formule 3, and Nicolas Todt, the son of the then Scuderia Ferrari team principal and eventually Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) president Jean Todt. The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix (), also known as the Imola Grand Prix (), was a Formula One motor racing event held at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, often referred to as "Imola" after the town where it is located. The event took the name "Emilia-Romagna" from the Italian region where the circuit is located. The venue previously hosted the Italian Grand Prix in , and the San Marino Grand Prix from to . The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 reduced the number of Grands Prix held in a season, so Formula One returned to the Imola circuit in , where it has remained on the calendar since then.
