IllFonic, LLC is an American video game developer based in Golden, Colorado, with further offices in Tacoma, Washington, and Austin, Texas. The studio was founded by Charles Brungardt, Kedhrin Gonzales and Raphael Saadiq in 2007. IllFonic is best known for developing asymmetric multiplayer games based on popular film franchises like '' Friday the 13th: The Game'', '' Predator: Hunting Grounds'', '' Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed'', and '' Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game''. Nexuiz (2012 Video Game)
''Nexuiz'' is a 2012 first-person shooter video game developed by IllFonic and published by THQ for Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360. It used CryEngine 3 and it is based on the original free software, free game ''Nexuiz'' (due to the name having been sold to Nexuiz, the free game continued its development under the Xonotic name). The servers for the Xbox 360 and PC versions were taken offline in February 2013 due to the closure of THQ. Overview Nexuiz is a remake of 2005's Nexuiz, which began development as a 2001 Quake mod developed by Lee Vermeulen. The project then moved to the DarkPlaces engine. On March 1, 2010, it was revealed that IllFonic had purchased the rights to the name Nexuiz. Raphael Saadiq
Raphael Saadiq (; born Charles Ray Wiggins; May 14, 1966) is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. He rose to prominence as a vocalist and bassist for the R&B band Tony! Toni! Toné!, which he formed with his brother D'Wayne and cousin Timothy Christian Riley in 1986. Originally, the band went by "Tony, Toni, Toné" as a joke, until they realized it "had a nice ring to it". Along with his groupwork and solo career, he has produced and written songs for other R&B artists, including Erykah Badu, D'Angelo, Jill Scott, Stevie Wonder, Beyoncé, Total, Earth, Wind & Fire, Joss Stone, TLC, En Vogue, Kelis, Mary J. It was released on May 31, 2005 under the GNU General Public License (GPL) and uses the DarkPlaces engine, a modified ''Quake'' engine.
