"I Swear" is a song written by Gary Baker and Frank J. Myers that became a hit for American country music artist John Michael Montgomery in 1993, and for American R&B group All-4-One in 1994. Released in November 1993 as the lead single from his album '' Kickin' It Up'', and accompanied by a music video directed by Marc Ball, Montogemery's version spent four weeks at number-one on the U.S. Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, later crossing over to pop radio and reaching number 42 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in March. The cover by All-4-One was subsequently released in April 1994, becoming a number-one hit in numerous countries, and later garnering a spot in ''Billboards ranking of All-Time Top 100 Songs. "I Swear" is a song by Nigerian hip hop recording artist Ice Prince. It was released as the fourth single from his second studio album, ''Fire of Zamani'' (2013). The song features American rapper French Montana and Nigerian singer Shaydee. It was produced by Chopstix and released under Chocolate City. It debuted at number 10 on MTV Base's Official Naija Top 10 chart. Background and recording French Montana's verse was recorded at Big Daddy's Studio in New York City, while the rest of the song was recorded in Nigeria. ''J'ouvert'' is a retail mixtape by rapper Wyclef Jean. It was released on February 3, 2017, and features the songs "Hendrix", "If I Was President 2016", "The Ring", and "I Swear". Composition Wyclef created the songs for the EP to be a preview for his upcoming album ''The Carnival Vol. III''. Clef also announced that he wanted the EP to be released after '' Carnival Vol. II: Memoirs of an Immigrant'', and reintroduced the character Aya Bungao.
