Hyro the Hero, formerly Hyro Da Hero (born Hyron Louis Fenton Jr., July 18, 1987), is an American rapper from Houston, Texas, currently residing in Los Angeles, California. Career Hyro moved to Los Angeles in November 2007, and shortly afterward released his first mixtape, ''Gangsta Rock'', on Christmas Eve 2007 via iLike. His second mix tape, ''Rock & Roll Gangsta'', released August 8, 2008, was dedicated to the memory of Ryan Halligan, who committed suicide after enduring years of bullying. His third mix tape, ''Belo Horizonte'', named for a city in Brazil and released on Christmas Eve 2009, contained his first track with no samples, "Dirty South Rock". Glowbug is the dance/electronic band of Los Angeles, CA artist Daniel Anderson, who also fronts The Ghost and the Grace and is one-half of the band Idiot Pilot. History The band originated in October 2010 when Daniel Anderson attempted an experiment of writing, recording, mastering and releasing an EP of new material within three days; the final product being the first digital EP ''Awful Scary, Yes, Very''. The following two months (November/December 2010) saw the release of two more EPs: ''Silian Rail'', and ''Displacer Beast'' respectively. Mindless Self Indulgence (often referred to as MSI) is an American electropunk band formed in New York City in 1997. Their music has a mixed style which includes punk rock, alternative rock, electronica, techno, industrial, hip hop, and breakbeat hardcore. History Between 1987 and 1996, Jimmy Urine recorded about 35 songs which varied in musical style, usually settling in an industrial/electronic punk style. These songs were recorded with himself and his brother, Markus Euringer in New York City using rudimentary equipment. Urine and his brother released an album titled ''Mindless Self-Indulgence'', featuring Steve, Righ?, on 'Bed of Roses', which featured songs performed in an industrial style akin to Nine Inch Nails. Soundwave was an annual music festival held in major cities around Australia, run and promoted by Soundwave Touring. The festival originated in Perth, Western Australia, and began travelling to the other Australian capital cities in 2007. It featured a number of international and Australian music acts from various genres, including rock, metal and punk. The festival has been headlined by Deftones, the Offspring, Incubus, Alice in Chains, Bloodhound Gang, Nine Inch Nails, Faith No More, Jimmy Eat World, Jane's Addiction, Soundgarden, Iron Maiden, Queens of the Stone Age, the Smashing Pumpkins, System of a Down, Slipknot, Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Blink-182 and Metallica. All That Remains is an American heavy metal band from Springfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1998. They have released nine studio albums, a live CD and DVD, and have sold over a million records worldwide. The group currently consists of vocalist Philip Labonte, rhythm guitarist Mike Martin, former Diecast drummer Jason Costa, and lead guitarist Jason Richardson, with Labonte being the last remaining original member. Hope (The Blackout Album)
''Hope'' is the third studio album by Welsh post-hardcore band The Blackout. Production The album was first announced in mid-2010 that the band had begun work on the album. The album was recorded at the end of 2010 and was funded by donations by fans on the website PledgeMusic. Recording was held at AIR Studios, Angelic Studios, and The Yard, with producer Jason Perry. Adam Noble acted as engineer, with additional engineering from Perry; the pair did Pro Tools editing. An assistant engineer aided them at each studio: Fiona Cruickshank (AIR), Tom Fuller (Angelic), and Mark Allaway (The Yard). Due to drummer Gareth Lawrence does not drum on the album, his place was taken by drummers Phillip Jenkins of Kids in Glass Houses and Tom Winch of Hexes. "Higher & Higher" is a song by The Blackout, featuring Hyro Da Hero. It is the first single to be released from the band's third studio album '' Hope'', on 4 February 2011. BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe chose the single as his "Hottest record in the world" on 2 February and gave the song its first radio play.
