One of the lines of Honda motorcycles is the CM Series and CMX Series of cruiser-style motorcycles. Some of the CM series engines existed in other motorcycles so we included them in this list. Cruiser (motorcycle)
A cruiser motorcycle is a motorcycle in the style of American machines from the 1930s to the early 1960s, including those made by Harley-Davidson, Indian, Excelsior and Henderson. The riding position usually places the feet forward and the hands up, with the spine erect or leaning back slightly. Typical cruiser engines emphasize easy rideability and shifting, with plenty of low-end torque but not necessarily large amounts of horsepower, and are traditionally V-twins, but inline engines have become more common. Cruisers with greater performance than usual, including more horsepower, stronger brakes and better suspension, are often called power cruisers. Honda CM 200T
Honda introduced several ''200cc'' motorcycles with similar engines but different body variations in the 1980s. The model introduced in South Africa and Pakistan was known as the CD200 RoadMaster. The engine had the same bore as the CD185 but low compression pistons (8.8:1) with a bore and stroke of , compared to 9.0:1 Compression and for the CD185. The result was less power, a higher fuel economy and a lower top speed. The alternator system was also different from the CD185. Apart from this the models were quite similar, using the same frames, suspension, wheels, tyres, and brakes. The CD200 featured a square speedometer, large front and rear mudguards, twin chrome exhausts, a choke tucked in behind the handle bars, a chrome plated fuel tank with the Honda logo and mock chrome air inlets on side panels. The Honda CM125 is a parallel twin cylinder air-cooled OHC four-stroke cruiser motorcycle made by Honda from 1978 to 2002. Honda CM250C
The Honda CM250 is a parallel twin cylinder air-cooled OHC four-stroke cruiser motorcycle produced by the Honda corporation from 1981–1983 with a top speed of 85 mph and delivering 70mpg. The 234cc North American market variant was coded as the CM250C and was the precursor to the current Honda CMX250C, also known as the Honda Rebel 250. The European market variant was identified as the CM250TB. Description The CM250TB is based on the Honda Superdream CB250N engine but with a five-speed and not six-speed gearbox. The Honda CMX250, or Rebel 250 or Honda Peronist, is a cruiser-style motorcycle made by Honda on and off since 1985. It uses the same straight-twin engine as the Honda Nighthawk 250 standard. Honda CM400
The Honda CM400 is a street bike produced by the Honda Motor Company from 1979 to 1982, part of a series of motorcycles with the prefix 'CM' using various engine capacities. It was a precursor to the Honda Rebel series of motorcycles. It was equipped with electric start and electronic ignition. Models included the CM400A (Automatic or "Hondamatic"), CM400C (Custom), CM400E (Economy) and CM400T (Touring). The CM400C was produced only in 1981, making it one of the rarer models. The Honda CM series all generally resembled the older-style flat-seat bikes from the 1960s and 1970s, with the exception of a slightly raised passenger area seat and small plastic fairings for the battery and electrical. These are "standard" style motorcycles but do have some elements of the cruiser (stepped seat, increased fork angle, extra chrome).
