Hi-5 (South African Band)
Hi-5 is a boy band from Pretoria, South Africa singing mainly in Afrikaans language. Formation It was formed in 2003 and took part in the ''Crescendo'' annual music contest organized by ATKV (the Afrikaans Language and Culture Association, in Afrikaans, Afrikaanse Taal- en Kultuurvereniging), a major event for Afrikaans music, winning the title for that year. Niel Schoombee was the founding member of this popular boy band. Career Hi-5 released a 5-track EP ''Soebat'' in 2003 followed by a self-titled album ''Hi-5'' (2004) with their second studio album being ''Versoeking'' released in 2006. The first single from the album, the title track "Versoeking", was an Afrikaans language cover of Arash's "Temptation". The popularity of their single and music video helped the band to further cement their success on the South African music charts. "Temptation" is a 2005 major hit single by Iranian-Swedish singer Arash featuring Rebecca Zadig and taken from Arash' debut album '' Arash''. Dihan Slabbert (born 3 June 1982), is a South African singer, performer, composer, producer, musician, and songwriter. He is best known as one of the lead vocalists in the South African pop group, Hi-5. Career Dihan sang at an early age, as a member of the Northern Gauteng Youth Choir. In 2000, he wrote, produced and staged his first musical production, appropriately named, "Debut." He graduated from the University of Pretoria with a Bcom in Tourism Management. Fabrizio Faniello
Fabrizio Faniello (born 27 April 1981) is a Maltese pop singer. He represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2001 and 2006. Family Fabrizio Faniello is the eldest of three children born to Vincenzo and Anna Faniello. He has two younger sisters, Claudia and Miriana. Claudia is also a singer and has performed in various Maltese festivals already, including the Malta Song For Europe 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2017, representing the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev, Ukraine. "Invincible" is the name of the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest entry for , sung by Carola Häggkvist. Being one of the favourites to win, it ended up finishing 5th out of 24. Carola performed the song in the Swedish national final in the Swedish language, under the name "Evighet" ("Eternity"). It scored 2nd place by the judges, but was a runaway winner by public votes, therefore booking Carola a place in Athens, where Eurovision was to be held.
