Albert Hertzog
Johannes Albertus Munnik Hertzog (; 4 July 1899, Bloemfontein – 5 November 1982, Pretoria) was an Afrikaner politician, cabinet minister, and founding leader of the Herstigte Nasionale Party. He was the son of J. B. M. (Barry) Hertzog, a former Prime Minister of the Union of South Africa. Albert Hertzog served as the South African Minister of Health from 1954 to 1958 and as Minister of Post and Telecommunications from 1958 to 1968. As the latter, Hertzog was famous for his refusal to implement television in South Africa. In 1969, after being purged from the National Party for his reactionary and exclusive Afrikaner Nationalist views, Hertzog founded the Herstigte Nasionale Party ("Reconstituted National Party"). The HNP was opposed to what it viewed as the National Party's deviation from its founding principles under Hendrik Verwoerd's successor, John Vorster. Corey Hertzog (born August 1, 1990) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Union Omaha in USL League One. Career College and amateur Hertzog attended Antietam Middle Senior H.S. scoring 107 career goals before enrolling at the Pennsylvania State University in 2008. Lawrence Hertzog (June 25, 1951 – April 19, 2008) was an American television writer and producer. He is best known for creating the cult series '' Nowhere Man'', which aired for one season during 1995–1996 on UPN. Hertzog was born in Flushing, Queens and grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey. In addition to continuing work in the entertainment industry, Hertzog also hosted a podcast entitled ''Drinks with Larry and Lauren'' in Los Angeles, featuring himself and his former assistant Lauren Proctor. Hertzogville
Hertzogville is a small cattle and sheep farming town in the Free State province of South Africa. It is named after South Africa's longest-serving prime minister, James Barry Munnik Hertzog. Hertzogville lies about an hour and a half from three main cities, Bloemfontein, Kimberley and Welkom. The town was established in 1915 on the Donkerfontein Farm, and acquired municipal status in 1924. Hertzogville is a small farming community that mainly speaks Afrikaans. Other languages that are spoken are Tswana/Sotho and some Xhosa. The town lies in the heart of the "bread basket" of the country, and very near to the centre of South Africa.
