Hein Schreuder
Hein Schreuder (24 December 1951 – 28 May 2023) was a Dutch economist and business executive, executive vice-president corporate strategy & acquisitions at DSM and professor at the University of Maastricht, especially known for his work on "Economic approaches to organizations" with Sytse Douma and for his role in the (second) transformation of DSM. Biography Born in Jakarta, Schreuder graduated in Business Economics in 1976 at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. In 1981 he obtained his Ph.D. at the Vrije Universiteit on his thesis "Maatschappelijke Verantwoordelijkheid en Maatschappelijke Berichtgeving van Ondernemingen" ("Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Social Reporting"). Schreuder started work in 1975 as a business researcher at the Netherlands Economic Institute. Koninklijke DSM N.V. (Royal DSM, commonly known as DSM, which is the acronym for ''Dutch State Mines''), was a Dutch multinational corporation active in the fields of health, nutrition and materials. Vlerick Business School ("Vlerick") is a Belgian business school with campuses in Ghent, Leuven, and Brussels. It is a result of a merger of MBA programmes of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and of the ''Instituut Professor Vlerick voor Management'' of Ghent University, in 1999 (which, however, have both started offering MBA programmes again since). Evolution is the change in the heritable characteristics of biological populations over successive generations. It occurs when evolutionary processes such as natural selection and genetic drift act on genetic variation, resulting in certain characteristics becoming more or less common within a population over successive generations.
