Hans De Koster
Henri Johan "Hans" de Koster (5 November 1914 – 24 November 1992) was a Dutch politician and diplomat of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) and businessman. De Koster attended a Gymnasium in Leiden from May 1927 until June 1933 and applied at the University of Amsterdam in June 1933 majoring in Economics obtaining an Bachelor of Economics degree in June 1935. De Koster worked as a corporate director for the flour manufacturer '' De Koster & Co'' in Leiden from April 1937 until May 1940. On 10 May 1940 Nazi Germany invaded the Netherlands and the government fled to London to escape the German occupation. De Koster joined the Dutch resistance against the German occupiers and founded and led the resistance cell ''Peggy''. Council Of State (Netherlands)
The Council of State ( nl, ) is a constitutionally established advisory body in the Netherlands to the government and States General that officially consists of members of the royal family and Crown-appointed members generally having political, commercial, diplomatic or military experience. It was founded in 1531, making it one of the world's oldest still-functioning state organisations. The Council of State must be consulted by the cabinet on proposed legislation before a law is submitted to parliament. The Council of State Administrative Law division also serves as one of the four highest courts of appeal in administrative matters. The House of Representatives (, pronounced ; commonly referred to as the ', literally "Second Chamber of the States General") is the lower house of the bicameral parliament of the Netherlands, the States General, the other one being the Senate. It has 150 seats, which are filled through elections using party-list proportional representation. Leiden (; in English and archaic Dutch also Leyden) is a city and municipality in the province of South Holland, Netherlands. Jan Willem de Pous (23 January 1920 – 6 January 1996) was a Dutch politician of the defunct Christian Historical Union (CHU) party now merged into the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) party and economist. De Pous attended the Amsterdams Lyceum from June 1935 until June 1938 and applied at the University of Amsterdam in June 1939 majoring in Economics and obtaining an Bachelor of Economics degree before leaving the University during the German occupation in April 1942 and joined the Dutch resistance against the German occupiers and worked as a journalist for the underground newspaper '' Trouw'' from April 1942 until January 1946.
