Hugo González (basketball)
Hugo González Peña (born 5 February 2006) is a Spanish professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Early life and career Born in Madrid, both of González's parents were professional basketball players, which made him start playing at age nine. He has said, "My first basketball memories come from my parents. They played basketball, and they influenced me a bit." He began playing for a local basketball academy in San Agustín del Guadalix, where he stayed three years. González joined Real Madrid's youth team at 9 years of age. He quickly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming a part of the junior team and the reserve team in the Liga EBA during the 2022–23 season. González became a star on the 2006 generation roster, which included Ismaila Diagne, Mitar Bonjakovic, and fellow draft prospect Egor Demin. Egor Vladimirovich Dёmin 'DYO-min''(Russian: Егор Владимирович Дëмин, ; born 3 March 2006) is a Russian professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the BYU Cougars. He previously played for Real Madrid. He also represents the Russian national team. Early life Dëmin was born on 3 March 2006. His father, Vladimir, was also a basketball player. He grew up in Moscow and attended the Moscow Basketball Academy (also known as the Trinta School) where he trained until 2021. The EuroBasket 2025 qualification was a basketball competition that was played from November 2021 to February 2025, to determine the 20 FIBA Europe member nations who would join the automatically qualified co-hosts Cyprus, Finland, Poland and Latvia at the EuroBasket 2025 finals tournament. 2025 NBA Draft
The 2025 NBA draft was the 79th edition of the National Basketball Association's (NBA) annual draft. Like the 2024 draft, this draft took place over two nights. The draft consisted of 59 picks as opposed to the full 60 due to the New York Knicks forfeiting a second round pick from a free agency violation in 2022. The first round of the draft took place on June 25, while the second took place on June 26. Both rounds were held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The time between second-round picks remained four minutes, a change that was made from the previous year's draft.
