Queen Hippolyta is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, based on the Amazons, Amazon queen Hippolyta from Greek mythology. Introduced in 1941 during the Golden Age of Comic Books, she is the queen of the Amazons (DC Comics), Amazons of Themyscira (DC Comics), Themyscira, the mother of Wonder Woman, and in some continuities, the adopted mother of Donna Troy. Cloris Leachman, Carolyn Jones and Beatrice Straight portrayed the character in the 1970s ''Wonder Woman (TV series), Wonder Woman'' series. Infinite Frontier is a 2021 relaunch by the American comic book publisher DC Comics of its entire line of ongoing monthly superhero comic book titles. It is the follow-up to the 2018 New Justice relaunch. The relaunch and event was shepherded by writer Joshua Williamson.
