''High on the Happy Side'' is the third studio album by Scottish pop rock quartet Wet Wet Wet. The album was released on 27 January 1992 and reached the top of the UK Albums Chart on 8 February. The release of the album was preceded by the singles "Make It Tonight", "Put the Light On" and "Goodnight Girl", and followed by two further singles, " More than Love" and "Lip Service". ''High on the Happy Side'' was released both a single album and as a double album with ''Cloak & Dagger'', a covers album released under the pseudonym '' Maggie Pie & The Impostors''. To accompany the album's release, a video compilation entitled ''The Story So Far'', containing videos for singles from both ''High on the Happy Side'' and ''Holding Back the River'', was made available on 24 March 1992. Wet Wet Wet
Wet Wet Wet are a Scottish soft rock band formed in 1982. They scored a number of hits in the UK charts and around the world in the 1980s and 1990s. They are best known for their 1994 cover of The Troggs' 1960s hit " Love Is All Around", which was used on the soundtrack to the film '' Four Weddings and a Funeral''. The song was an international success, and spent 15 weeks atop the British charts. The band is currently composed of founding member Graeme Clark (bass, vocals) and lead vocalist Kevin Simm, who replaced founding member Marti Pellow in 2018 after he left during the previous year. Deadric Malone
Don Deadric Robey (November 1, 1903 – June 16, 1975) was an American record label executive, songwriter, and record producer. As the founder of Peacock Records and the eventual owner of Duke Records, he was responsible for developing the careers of many rhythm and blues artists in the 1950s and 1960s. He was the first African American record mogul, 10 years prior to Berry Gordy's Motown label (though the first Black-owned label, Black Swan Records, belonged to Harry Pace in the 1920s). Robey was notorious for his controversial business practices; he reputedly used criminal means, including violence and intimidation, as part of his business model, though he was held in high regard by some of the musicians who worked for him. Smokey Robinson
William "Smokey" Robinson Jr. (born February 19, 1940) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and former record executive director. He was the founder and front man of the Motown vocal group the Miracles, for which he was also chief songwriter and producer. He led the group from its 1955 origins as "the Five Chimes" until 1972, when he announced his retirement from the group to focus on his role as Motown's vice president. However, Robinson returned to the music industry as a solo artist the following year. Robinson left Motown Records in 1990, following the sale of the company two years earlier. The Average White Band (also known as AWB) are a Scottish funk and R&B band that had a series of soul and disco hits between 1974 and 1980. They are best known for their million-selling instrumental track " Pick Up the Pieces", and their albums '' AWB'' and '' Cut the Cake''. The band name was initially proposed by Bonnie Bramlett.
