''Austin & Ally'' is a Disney Channel soundtrack from the hit TV series of the same name. The album features songs from the show's first season performed by Ross Lynch with two bonus tracks performed with his family band R5. It was released digitally and physically by Walt Disney Records on September 11, 2012. Background and release During a commercial for the single "Heard It on the Radio", Ross Lynch announced that a soundtrack for the show was on its way. The track list was revealed on July 20, 2012. On August 6, 2012, the soundtrack cover was revealed by the magazine BOP and Tiger Beat. On the week of September 3, 2012, Radio Disney Planet Premiered songs from the album. Ross Lynch
Ross Shor Lynch (born December 29, 1995) is an American actor and singer. He was the lead vocalist of the pop rock band R5 and is one half of the band the Driver Era (with his brother Rocky Lynch). As an actor, he rose to recognition for his debut role as Austin Moon on Disney Channel's comedy television series ''Austin & Ally'' (2011–2016) and for his role as Brady in the network's musical films '' Teen Beach Movie'' (2013) and its sequel '' Teen Beach 2'' (2015). R5 (band)
R5 was an American pop rock band formed in Los Angeles in 2009. The band consisted of Ross Lynch (vocals/rhythm guitar), Riker Lynch (bass guitar/vocals), Rocky Lynch (lead guitar/vocals), Rydel Lynch (keyboards/vocals), and Ellington Ratliff (drums/vocals). They released their first EP ''Ready Set Rock'' on March 9, 2010, but it was removed once Ross got his role on the Disney Channel show ''Austin & Ally, Austin and Ally.'' They then released the EP ''Loud'' on February 19, 2013. Kid Albums (formerly known as Top Kid Audio) is a music chart published weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine which ranks the top selling children's music albums in the United States. ''Austin & Ally'' is an American comedy television series created by Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert that aired on Disney Channel from December 2, 2011 to January 10, 2016.
