Gurdwara
A gurdwara (sometimes written as gurudwara) (Gurmukhi: ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ''guradu'ārā'', meaning "Door to the Guru") is a place of assembly and worship for Sikhs. Sikhs also refer to gurdwaras as ''Gurdwara Sahib''. People from all faiths are welcomed in gurdwaras. Each gurdwara has a '' Darbar Sahib'' where the current and everlasting guru of the Sikhs, the scripture Guru Granth Sahib, is placed on a (an elevated throne) in a prominent central position. Any congregant (sometimes with specialized training, in which case they can be known by the term granthi) may recite, sing, and explain the verses from the Guru Granth Sahib, in the presence of the rest of the congregation. Lakhpat Gurdwara Sahib
Lakhpat Gurdwara Sahib or Gurdwara Pehli Patshahi (Gurdwara of The First Master) is a Gurdwara, a place of worship for the Sikhs, located in Lakhpat of Kutch district, Gujarat, India. Guru Nanak on his way to Mecca stayed over in the town during his second (1506-1513) and fourth (1519-1521) missionary journey called ''Udasi''s. It is believed that he had visited the site during his fourth journey. The descendants of the host established Gurdwara here in early 19th century. This Gurdwara have his relics like wooden footwear and palkhi (cradle) as well as manuscripts and markings of two important heads of Udasi sect. The site is worshiped by the Udasi sect and initially it was maintained by them. Gurdwara Guru Singh Sabha Kedli Kalan
Gurdwara Guru Singh Sabha, Kedli Kalan, is one of the oldest gurdwara of Eastern India. History When Guru Nanak was on his first Udasi he travelled towards East of India and passed through Bihar. He came and stopped at Kedli Chatti (Kalan) situated on the banks of and he taught about Sikhism to local population which attracted a lot of locals. Guru Tegh Bahadur, also visited the place while his travel towards Gaya and Patna from Varanasi. Gurdwara also have a 200 year old hand-written Guru Granth Sahib. Few Nanakpanthi Hindus used to live here but later, some converted Agrahari Sikh from Eastern Uttar Pradesh used to come here for timber business and finally settled here after knowing the place related to the Udasi tour of Guruji. Manikaran
Manikaran is located in the Parvati Valley on river Parvati, northeast of Bhuntar in the Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh. It is at an altitude of 1760 m and is located 4 km ahead of Kasol and about 45 km from Kullu and about 35 km from Bhuntar. Paonta Sahib is an industrial town of Himachal Pradesh in India. It is located in the south of Sirmaur district, on National Highway 72 ( New NH 7). Paonta Sahib is an important place of worship for Sikhs, hosting a large Gurdwara named Gurudwara Paonta Sahib, on the banks of the river Yamuna. Una is a district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Una shares its border with the Hoshiarpur and Rupnagar districts of Punjab and Kangra, Hamirpur and Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. Dera Baba Badbhag Singh Gurudwara(देवनागरी: डेरा बाबा बड़भाग सिंह) is a shrine of Dera Baba Vadbhag Singh. It is located in Mairi village in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Chail is a hill station in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is from Solan city and from Shimla. It is known for its salubrious beauty and virgin forests.
