Gregory Charles Wilkins
Gregory Charles Wilkins (February 2, 1956 – December 16, 2009) was a Canadian businessman and chartered accountant. Career Wilkins originally joined Barrick Gold Corporation in 1981, rising to the post of chief financial officer. He left in 1993 to become president and chief operating officer of Horsham Corp., a public company that was the controlling shareholder of Barrick at the time. ''Horsham Corp.'' later became ''TrizecHahn Corp.'' and Wilkins remained with the company until the planning of its conversion into a U.S. real estate investment trust had been completed and the company relocated to the United States. Wilkins assumed the position of President of Barrick Gold Corporation, the world's largest gold producer, in 2003, when he replaced then president & CEO Randall Oliphant. The 2008 Rolex 24 at Daytona was the first round of the 2008 Rolex Sports Car Series season and the 46th running of the 24 Hours of Daytona. It took place at Daytona International Speedway between January 26–27, 2008. Qualifying In the Daytona Prototype class, pole position was taken by Oswaldo Negri Jr. in the #60 Michael Shank Racing Ford powered Riley Mk. XI with a laptime of 1:40.793. Teammate A. J. Allmendinger locked out the front row for Michael Shank Racing. In the Grand Touring class, the #70 SpeedSource Mazda RX-8 GT with Sylvain Tremblay was fastest with a laptime of 1:50.788. The #56 Mastercar Ferrari F430 Challenge qualified 2nd in the team's debut at Daytona. USA Today All-USA High School Football Team (1990–99)
Each year, American newspaper '' USA Today'' awards outstanding high school American football players with a place on its All-USA High School Football Team. The newspaper names athletes that its sports journalists believe to be the best football players from high schools around the United States. The newspaper has named a team every year since 1982. In addition, two members of the team are named the ''USA Today'' High School Offensive Player and Defensive Player of the Year.
