Greensburg is a city in and the county seat of Decatur County, Indiana. The population was 11,492 at the time of the 2010 census. History Greensburg was laid out in 1822. The founder, Thomas Hendricks Sr.'s wife being a native of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, caused the name to be selected. The first post office at Greensburg opened in 1823, but the name of the post office was spelled Greensburgh until 1894. At the beginning of the twentieth century, race relations in Greensburg worsened, leading to the expulsion of African Americans from the city after race riots against them in 1906 and 1907. According to James W. Loewen, Greensburg then was for decades a sundown town, a town that was purposely all-white. In 2021, Greensburg offered incentives for remote workers to move to the city. It is home to the world's largest hand-dug well. Greensburg is a town in, and the parish seat of, St. Helena Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 718 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Statistical Area. Greensburg is one of the oldest towns in Louisiana. It has two 19th-century properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the old land office and the old parish jail. Fetchin Bones was a cross-genre rock band from North Carolina. During a six-year career they produced five albums but were most celebrated for inspired live performances. One reviewer stated they were "a band that must be seen live for a full grasp of their eclectic frenzy". During numerous tours Fetchin Bones supported acts such as R.E.M., the B52s, X and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Allmusic described the band as "a truly underrated group that didn't hit it big when they should've". Musical style The band mixed blues, punk and country music, and Hope Nicholls' "powerhouse" vocals were compared to Janis Joplin's in their "dirty intensity". In a 1985 Whistle Test interview with Andy Kershaw, Nicholls said her influences include British bands Siouxsie and the Banshees and the Cocteau Twins.
