Snow Patrol
Snow Patrol are a Northern Irish–Scottish Rock music, rock band formed in 1994 in Dundee, Scotland. They consist of Gary Lightbody (vocals, guitar), Nathan Connolly (guitar, backing vocals), Paul Wilson (musician), Paul Wilson (bass guitar, backing vocals), Jonny Quinn (drums), and Johnny McDaid (piano, guitar, backing vocals). Initially an indie rock band, Snow Patrol rose to prominence in the early– mid-2000s as part of the post-Britpop movement. The band were founded at the University of Dundee in 1994 by Lightbody, Mark McClelland, and Michael Morrison of Shrug (band), Shrug. After briefly using the name Polarbear, releasing the Extended play, EP ''Starfighter Pilot'' (1997) and losing Morrison as a member, the band became Snow Patrol in 1997 and added Quinn to its lineup. ''Eyes Open'' is the fourth studio album by Northern Irish-Scottish alternative rock band Snow Patrol. Produced by Jacknife Lee, it was released in the UK on 1 May 2006, and 9 May 2006 in the US. It was the band's first album without bassist Mark McClelland and the first to feature bassist Paul Wilson and keyboardist Tom Simpson. Recording for the album took place between October and December 2005 at Grouse Lodge Studios in Ireland, The Garage in Kent, and The Garden and Angel Recording Studios, both in London. Six singles were released from the album, including top 10 hits " You're All I Have" and "Chasing Cars", the latter of which came to worldwide attention when it was featured during the season 2 finale of the American medical drama ''Grey's Anatomy''. ''Music from and Inspired by Spider-Man 3'' is a soundtrack album to Sam Raimi's 2007 film ''Spider-Man 3''. It was released on May 1, 2007. A special edition version is available only on the soundtrack's official website. A digital edition of the album is also in the planning stages, with the release date to be announced. The soundtrack's website allows the user to listen to the first song from the soundtrack. Unlike the first two ''Spider-Man'' soundtrack releases, the album does not feature any of the film's score by Christopher Young. The entire concept of this soundtrack is that each song was written (or recorded in the case of The Flaming Lips) for the soundtrack exclusively, with the exception of Chubby Checker's 1960 hit " The Twist". "Signal Fire" is a song from British alternative rock band Snow Patrol, appearing on the soundtrack of the film ''Spider-Man 3'', released on 24 April, 30 April, 2 May and 14 May 2007, depending on the region. It was the only single released from the soundtrack. It was recorded at Grouse Lodge and was produced by long-time Snow Patrol producer Jacknife Lee. "Spitting Games" is the lead single from Snow Patrol's third album, ''Final Straw'', released on 15 September 2003. Original release Snow Patrol released the song during their first UK Tour during the Final Straw Tour. To mark the release, the band made a previously unheard song for a free download on their official site, titled "Half the Fun of It". Snow Patrol were one of the acts chosen in AOL Music's "Breakers" in December 2003, a program to promote bands for months leading up to the release of their respective albums in the United States. Crack The Shutters
"Crack the Shutters" is a song from alternative rock band Snow Patrol's fifth album ''A Hundred Million Suns''. It was released as the follow-up single to " Take Back the City" on different dates in December 2008 depending on the region, and was the second single taken from the album. Shut Your Eyes
"Shut Your Eyes" is a song by the Northern Irish band Snow Patrol. Initially a track on their 2006 album ''Eyes Open'', it was released as a single in several countries in 2007. The various B-sides featured on the single are taken from a Snow Patrol live performance at Columbiahalle, Berlin on 9 February 2007. The live renditions of "Spitting Games", "Run" and "Chocolate" included on the single later appeared on the Australian version of the " Signal Fire" single. "Chocolate" is a song by UK alternative rock band Snow Patrol. It was released as the third single from their third studio album, ''Final Straw''.
