Eckankar
Eckankar is a new religious movement founded by Paul Twitchell in 1965. Its membership today is primarily in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. The spiritual home is the Temple of ECK in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Eckankar is not affiliated with any other religious group. The movement teaches simple spiritual exercises, such as singing "''HU''", called "a love song to God", to experience the Light and Sound of God and recognize the presence of the Holy Spirit. Etymology Twitchell was known for adapting Sanskrit words into English, and the word ''Eckankar'' is likely Twitchell's adaptation of the sacred phrase ''Ik Onkar'' of Sikhism, meaning "One '' Om''". ''Eck'' is intended to mean the Holy Spirit, as found in the biblical and Christian terminology. According to the Eckankar's glossary, the term ''Eckankar'' means ''Co-Worker with God''. Gopala Dasa
Gopala Dasa (1721–1769) was a prominent 18th-century Kannada language poet and saint belonging to the Haridasa tradition. With other contemporary Haridasas such as Vijaya Dasa and Jagannatha Dasa, Gopala Dasa propagated the Dvaita philosophy of Madhvacharya in South India through '' Kirtans'' ("Songs of God") known as ''Dasara Padagalu'' with the pen-name (''ankita nama'' or ''mudra'') "Gopala Vittala".He is Ganesa Amsha. Gopala Dasa was named "Bhaganna" at birth. He was born in a Deshastha Madhva Brahmin family in Mosarakallu a village in Raichur district of Karnataka state, India. After his initiation into the Madhwa order as Dasa, he became a disciple of Vijaya Dasa and is credited to being a prolific composer. He is known to have been an astrologer as well. Gopaldas Ambaidas Desai
Gopaldas Ambaidas Desai (1887–1951) also called Darbar Gopaldas Desai was a prince who ascended the throne of the State of Dhasa in Saurashtra and a noted Gandhian political and social activist. He is remembered as the first prince in India who gave up his principality to become a freedom fighter against the British Raj. Early life Gopaldas was born at Vaso in the present day Kheda district of Gujarat. He was an ''inamdar'' or feudatory to the Baroda State, the ruler of the Dhasa State and a '' jagirdar'' of the Rai and Sankhli villages. He was a Vaishnavite and a Patidar by caste and a Desai and Amin by title. He became the ruler of Dhasa succeeding his maternal grandfather Ambaidas who adopted him as heir to the throne. Gopaldas Neeraj
Gopaldas Neeraj (popularly known as Neeraj; 4 January 1925 – 19 July 2018) was an Indian poet and author of Hindi literature. He was also a poet of Hindi Kavi sammelan (Poets Meet). He was born in the village of Puravali, near Mahewa in Etawah district in Uttar Pradesh, India on 4 January 1925. He wrote under the pen name "Neeraj". He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1991 and Padma Bhushan in 2007. Besides writing, he earned his living teaching in a college and was a Professor of Hindi Literature in Dharma Samaj College, Aligarh. Around 2012, Neeraj was the chancellor of Mangalayatan University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. Several poems and songs written by Neeraj have been used in Hindi movies. He wrote songs for several Hindi films and was proficient in both Hindi and Urdu. Gaur Gopal Das () is an Indian monk, lifestyle coach, motivational speaker and former electrical engineer. He is a member of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).
