''Glass Boys'' is the fourth full-length studio album from the Canadian hardcore punk band Fucked Up. It was released on June 3, 2014, by Matador Records. The album deals with themes of growing old in the punk scene while trying to stay true to one's youthful ideals. Fucked Up
Fucked Up is a Canadian hardcore punk band from Toronto, Ontario, formed in 2001. The band consists of guitarists Mike Haliechuk and Josh Zucker, bassist Sandy Miranda, lead vocalist Damian Abraham and drummer Jonah Falco. From 2007 to 2021, the band also included guitarist and vocalist Ben Cook. To date, the band has released nine studio albums, alongside numerous EPs, singles, and companion releases. The band won the 2009 Polaris Music Prize for their second studio album, '' The Chemistry of Common Life''. The band are known for releasing concept albums, with often feature recurring themes and characters. In 2023, the band began releasing a series of albums in which each member recorded their parts within the span of one day. Jon Drew is a Canadian record producer and recording engineer based in Toronto, Ontario. He has produced the albums of Polaris Music Prize winning band Fucked Up and Juno Award nominated Tokyo Police Club. He has also worked on the albums of Canadian bands the Stars, Attack in Black, July Talk, Single Mothers, Metz, Diemonds and Arkells. George Pettit
George Frederick Douglas Pettit (born October 2, 1982) is a Canadian musician best known as the lead vocalist of the post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. He is also currently active as the vocalist of Dead Tired. Biography Pettit grew up in Grimsby, Ontario. He attended Lakeview Public School for his elementary years, then Grimsby Secondary School where he became involved in the local music scene. At the age of 17 Pettit, joined by friends Dallas Green, Wade MacNeil, Chris Steele, and Jesse Ingelevics formed Alexisonfire. According to Pettit, he had a choice of going to art school or being in the band before the first tour. Pettit ultimately chose Alexisonfire which would later gain worldwide recognition. Joseph Donald Mascis Jr. (born December 10, 1965), better known as J Mascis, is an American musician who is the singer, guitarist and main songwriter for the alternative rock band Dinosaur Jr. He has also released several albums as a solo artist and played drums and guitar on other projects. Gordon Edgar Downie (February 6, 1964 – October 17, 2017) was a Canadian rock singer-songwriter, musician, writer, poet, and activist.
