Gladiators (2008 British TV Series)
''Gladiators'' is a British television series which aired on Sky One (now Sky Max) from 11 May 2008 to 25 October 2009. It was a revival of the earlier series of the same name and based on the American version of the show. The US, UK and Australian versions of the show were all revived in 2008. For the first series, the show was hosted by Ian Wright and Kirsty Gallacher with original Referee John Anderson returning. For the second series Ian Wright was joined by Caroline Flack due to Kirsty Gallacher not wanting to return. Another change was the removal of John Anderson due to the producers wanting to give the show its own feel and cut ties with the original series. He was replaced by well known boxing referee John Coyle for series two. The winners of the series each earned £50,000. The show was cancelled in May 2009 by then director of programmes, Stuart Murphy. A second revival is set to be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in 2023. Format Series one featured 32 conten ...

John Anderson (Scottish TV Referee)
John Anderson (born 28 November 1931) is a Scottish television personality best known as referee and official trainer on the UK television show ''Gladiators''. Anderson has previously worked as a teacher and coach for Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games athletes. Career Anderson had a successful career long before his athletics and TV fame. Plaudits included representing Scotland as a schoolboy footballer, becoming the first home Scot to gain the prestigious Full FA Coaching Certificate (then only four were awarded per year), being one of only two confirmed recipients (along with Wilf Paish) of every British Senior Coaching award available, and founding Maryhill Ladies AC in Glasgow. Du'aine Ladejo
Du'aine Ladejo (born 14 February 1971, in Paddington, London, England) is an English-born Athletics (sport), athlete and television personality. In his sports career, he was best known for winning the 400 metres sprint gold medal at the 1994 European Championships in Athletics, 1994 European Championships and being a member of the United Kingdom and England 400-metre relay squads at the European Championships, Olympics and Commonwealth Games during the 1990s. Barri Griffiths (born 13 January 1982) is a Welsh actor and former professional wrestler. He is best known for his time with WWE under the ring name Mason Ryan. Griffiths studied construction management at Cardiff University, before working as a trainee carpenter and in his family's funeral home.
