Touring Car Racing
Touring car racing is a motorsport road racing competition that uses race-prepared touring cars. It has both similarities to and significant differences from stock car racing, which is popular in the United States. While the cars do not move as fast as those in Formula racing, formula or sports car racing, sports car races, their similarity both to one another and to fans' own vehicles makes for well-supported racing. The lesser use of aerodynamics means following cars have a much easier time passing than in open-wheel racing, and the more substantial bodies of the cars makes the subtle bumping and nudging for overtaking much more acceptable as part of racing. Matches in Group F of the 2022 FIFA World Cup took place from 23 November to 1 December 2022. The group consisted of Belgium, Canada, Morocco and Croatia. The top two teams, Morocco and Croatia, advanced to the round of 16, and later played against each other again in the third-place play-off game, with Croatia winning 2–1. Morocco advanced to the knockout stage for the first time since 1986. By winning the group, they became the first African team to do so since Nigeria in 1998. Group F of the 2010 FIFA World Cup began on 14 June 2010 and ended on 24 June 2010. The group consisted of 2006 winner Italy, Paraguay, New Zealand and Slovakia. Italy and Paraguay previously met in the first round of the 1950 tournament, with Italy winning 2–0; neither qualified for the next round. Italy were eliminated from the group with just two points, behind underdogs New Zealand, who drew all three of their matches to finish on three points. Group F at the 1998 FIFA World Cup comprised Germany national football team, Germany and Serbia national football team, Yugoslavia of UEFA, Iran national football team, Iran of the Asian Football Confederation and the United States national men's soccer team, United States from the CONCACAF region. Germany and Yugoslavia both started well by beating the United States and Iran respectively. The United States was then eliminated with a match to spare after losing to Iran, while Germany drew with Yugoslavia. Iran needed to win their final game against Germany to qualify but was defeated, which meant that Yugoslavia would still have qualified even without their victory over the United States.
