Greenbelt Scandal
The Greenbelt scandal is a political controversy in the Canadian province of Ontario about the Greenbelt surrounding the province's Golden Horseshoe region. Background Shortly before the 2018 Ontario general election, a leaked video of Progressive Conservative Party politician Doug Ford showed him promising that he would "open up a 'big chunk' of the protected area", a nature reserve in Southern Ontario's Golden Horseshoe region, to real estate developers. In response to widespread criticism, Ford claimed that he had reversed his position and would not modify the area. Steve Clark (Canadian Politician)
Stephen J. Clark (born November 7, 1960) is a Canadian politician who has represented Leeds—Grenville—Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario since 2010.
