Greater Anglia (legal name Transport UK East Anglia Limited) is a British train operating company owned as a joint venture by Transport UK Group and Mitsui & Co. It operates the East Anglia franchise, providing the commuter and inter-city services from its central London terminus at to Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and parts of Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire, as well as many regional services throughout the East of England. Abellio began operating the franchise, then known as the ''Greater Anglia'' franchise, replacing the National Express East Anglia, National Express franchise on 4 February 2012. Initially, it traded under the same name until it rebranded as ''Abellio Greater Anglia'' in December 2013. Crossrail
Crossrail is a completed railway project centred on London. It provides a high-frequency hybrid commuter rail and rapid transit system, akin to the Réseau Express Régional, RER in Paris and the S-Bahn systems of German-speaking countries, known as the Elizabeth line, that crosses the capital from suburbs on the west to east and connects two major railway lines terminating in London: the Great Western Main Line and the Great Eastern Main Line. InterCity East Coast
InterCity East Coast is a railway franchise for passenger trains on the East Coast Main Line in the United Kingdom from London King's Cross to Hull, Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Aberdeen. National Express East Coast (NXEC) was a train operating company in the United Kingdom, owned by National Express, that operated the InterCity East Coast franchise on the East Coast Main Line between London, Yorkshire, North East England and Scotland from December 2007 until November 2009. Great British Railways
Great British Railways (GBR) is a planned state-owned railway company that will operate most rail infrastructure in Great Britain, most passenger rail services in England, and some cross-border passenger rail services in Scotland and Wales. It will be established with the passing of the forthcoming Railways Bill, as part of the Starmer government's plans to re-nationalise the railways.
